ACC isn't worth it imo, even if you want what it does. Need a new window? Oh that's fun....
I had no trouble getting a new windshield when mine cracked last year. Glass itself is the same price as the regular window too.

I really wish there was an easy way to put a Selec Trac case in mine. It wasn't an option when I bought mine, or else I would have gotten it. I put one in my XJ and it was awesome. It just isn't a smart financial decision to sell and rebuy my truck right now, especially with all the price increases.

In 04 I got one of the first STis brought into the US.
Ah, the good old days. I had a 2005 WRX with a Prodrive Power Pack 3, STi intercooler, ported & polished everything, upgraded to Group N 4-pot & 2-pot fixed caliper brakes, all Group N bushings, forged 18x8 BBS RE wheels with Advan Neova tires. It was a total blast around town because it spooled that little stock turbo so quickly. I sold it in 2008 right before getting a dog box for it.

Mine was mostly stock. I had a Cobb Accessport tuner with a custom tune and a cat-less mid pipe.

On 93 Octane gas it made 310 hp at the wheels, or about 360 hp total. But that doesn't really tell the whole story. It made about 350 ft-lbs of torque from 2500 rpm to about 5000 rpm. At which point the torque started trailing off because the smallish turbo couldn't maintain boost as rpm got higher.

This was at a time when the Corvette made 350 hp and the 911 made about 320. So the STi was the real effing deal.

Now it's just sad. The Corvette starts at 480 and tops out over 700 with the 911 at about the same.
The STi is still stuck at 305 hp.

Rock trac is a 4:1 low gear ratio, Only the Rubi gets that.
Is that standard on Rubicons or something one must order? Cause mine is a Rubicon. Shifter know just say 2,4,N,4L

not enough snow to warrant 4H/ Engage 4H without binding.
I can see it's advantage if predominantly pavement is the road of travel but better than 50% of my travel is Dirt Gravel roads.
Welcome to WV.
Country roads take me home.? I really honestly dont have issues at all with the regular Transfer case .

Hmm now I am wondering ? cause mine in low is enormously slow
Rock Trac is standard in Rubicon. The 4:1. The Selec Trac is optional. You get the 4:1 low transfer case both ways.

Rock Trac is standard in Rubicon
Okay so what does it do exactly ? I notice while in 4-low that the wheels don't jerk like it does in High as bad or at all.

4 turns of input = 1 turn of output ( wheels )

All other trims are 2.7:1.

Selec-trac uses CV shafts on the ends of the front axle instead of u-joints.

Below is how the full time Selec-Trac is listed for RUBICON -
It's still Rock-Trac, but called "full time" in the case of the full time t-case.

This is our Rubicon with full-time transfer case->

They are all Rock-Trac in Rubicon, but one is full time, the other is part time.

Pretty damned easy to tell - look at the shift knob!!
And when in auto ("full time"), the cluster shows it in GREEN

This is Selec-Trac on non-Rubicon, or Rock-Trac full-time in Rubicon.
