Here is the non-Rubicon version of the full-time (auto) transfer case, called Selec-Trac in a non-Rubicon ->

Jeep Gladiator Finding a Selec-Trac In Stock? 1675224427723

In the same post for comparison - this is the full-time (automatic) transfer case in a Rubicon ->

The knobs will have the same positions, you use the lever and shift it the same, the automatic part (full-time part) works the same. But they are geared differently, etc.

And this is a non-Rubicon Command-Trac standard part time only transfer case -

For the Rubicon without the full-time transfer case, it would simply say "Rock-Trac" without the "full time" part after it.

Kind of like my Mojave has 'Sand Sliders'...according to Jeep. Literally the Rubicon rock sliders.

The only actual difference between Rock Trac and Command Trac is the gearset. Marketing nonsense. Select Trac 4A and Rock Trac 4A = the gearset.

Naw, come on now, it's pretty obvious there's a lot more different! I mean, one is HD and the other isn't. 😁

My truck has an ordinary boring Selec-Trac while my wife's Wrangler has a HD version.
Crap, now I have transfer-case envy of my wife's Jeep.

Build sheets will always list the part time transfer case in the equipment list, then in the options, it would list the Rock-Trac full-time if so equipped.
The knob is the tell. Doesn't matter what else is seen. The knob (or the axle joints)

Anyway, it's *always part-time in the standard equipment.
If it has the full time transfer case, it's in the options list either later in the build sheet or the other column of the window sticker.

My full time transfer case is listed under OPTIONS or OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT on the window sticker and build sheet.

(* the Selec-Trac full time or Rock-Trac full time are STANDARD EQUIPMENT with the 4xe PHEV)

Well mine says HD and part time . So it is HD but not 4Auto just 4 H shift in and out with the stick. I find mine easy to shift honestly. I shift it in and out at least half a dozen times a day after 59,900 miles it shifts easy .

Let's make this easy.
If your 4WD shifter doesn't look like this, your Jeep doesn't have the Selec-Trac option, regardless of which transfer case you are equipped with.

Below is how the full time Selec-Trac is listed for RUBICON -
It's still Rock-Trac, but called "full time" in the case of the full time t-case.

This is our Rubicon with full-time transfer case->

Jeep Gladiator Finding a Selec-Trac In Stock? iris

They are all Rock-Trac in Rubicon, but one is full time, the other is part time.

Pretty damned easy to tell - look at the shift knob!!
And when in auto ("full time"), the cluster shows it in GREEN

This is Selec-Trac on non-Rubicon, or Rock-Trac full-time in Rubicon.

Kinda thought that's what I was indicating with the above... Pretty simple. Look at the damned shift knob. U have it or u don't.
It it doesn't have:
4H
AUTO

Then u don't have it regardless of trim.

Here you go…, loaded Ribican
The one and only feature I wish I had that I don't is Selec-Trac (automatic 4 wheel drive).
I've been casually checking dealer inventories within 300 miles from home, but it's a tedious process of loading my other preferred options and then taking a close look at the results one by one, because there is no check box for Selec-Trac on Jeep.com, Autotrader, or cars.com.

If anyone knows of a trick I may be missing I'd love to hear it.
Here you go, loaded Rubicon with optional full time 4wd.

Very close. I want the grey leather and ACC as well.
I may ask Gupton to quote and order.
That JT has the safety packages, but no leather. At $70K with no leather, must have been a special order that someone backed out. Add leather and it pushes the MSRP to $72K.

Our jlu 4xe with leather but no advance safety pkg msrp was 71 so that one must be loaded to the hilt as the base 4xe is thousands over the same with 3.6. Maybe that jt has steel bumper pkg and gold trim.

Minus the leather and plus the AWD, it's the same equipment as my 21 Mojave, and that was $7,000 less, which is pretty much in line with what I've seen anywhere.
They're up a little over 10% since 21.
