Rudis is home!!!!. Not great pics, but you get the idea . 25 miles from the dealership to home. No problems, however can anyone else feel speaker vibration in the steering wheel?

If you look at the photo Kent sent me of mine, this was right after it was off-loaded from the truck. They hadn't done the PDI yet. Definitely needs a bath, antenna installed, plastic removed, etc.

I think they are shipped with the tonneau/tailgate locked (tonneau is required for dual top since the soft top is locked in the bed), so you should be hobo free there.

So friggin’ sexy... dirt and all! ;{

Wife got hold of The Gladiator and hauled 15 bales of pine straw and mulch. Said it was worth the wait. Coolness of a Jeep with the utility of a pick-up. Priceless!

Kayakmike - went with Mopar. A buddy has had a lot of experience with jeeps and said they don’t rattle and are easy to install. Will install them this weekend and send pics. Let us know about the rack system. I’m going to look at 2 sea kayaks in the next couple of months so that will be something we’ll need to consider.

I liked the look of the Mopar tube doors, but the tube diameter was a little large for my tastes.

My sea kayaks I haul on a trailer normally (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/bed-rack-storage-for-kayaks.14148/#post-192078), just because when we picked them up the guy was selling them with the trailer so we have it. I've hauled them on my Grand Cherokee a few times, but the cross bar spacing was about 3', which doesn't work well for the 17' & 18.5' sea kayaks. After I sold my GC a few weeks ago, I had a rental Nissan Frontier (also 5' bed) and it was awkward for hauling my kayak polo boat (~9.5'). Really thinking the Mopar cross bars won't be much use except for my short whitewater kayaks and maybe bike mounts. So that's why I'm leaning towards an over cab rack like the Yakima OverHaul which should give 4'+ bar spread on the bed. I did pick up a set of Yakima RainGutter mounts that I can use on the hard top if needed for longer bar spread, but not sure about flex between cab and bed. The rack setup is the thing I've been agonizing over the most without having mine to explore options, and it will probably be one of the first things I'll do when I get mine in the garage.

Another GC LE made its way home! After only 2 days it went from 13 miles on the odometer to over 1000.

Drove it from Eden NC to Pigeon Forge Tennessee to Burts Pumkin Farm in Dawsonville, GA (picked up a few hundred lbs of pumpkins) back home to Tampa FL (averaging about 19-20mpgs).

My only complaint, actually, was the "new car smell" that forced me to drive with the windows open.

Glad to finally have this beast!!

Now I need to start ordering and installing my huge mods list. My new wheels and BFG KO2s going on, in the next two days.
