Welp fellers, I’m calling it. I gave up and caved to a LE local to my state. Dealer beat my current deal and I’m joining the Billet Silver team saturday morning. Don’t worry though @kayakmike , I’ll still put on my tin foil hat with you and call Barbara or Paige every now and then. I’m going to find someone to call to tell me I’m in C status for an undisclosed amount of time.
And another one bites the dust! Congrats on getting to enjoy yours in 2019! I guess you will be glad to have it. ;)

If I were to cave, Silver would be the way I'd go too. Just looking for a change from my Silver Grand Cherokee.

I will say, of the 3 different stories I heard today, they all were consistent and agreed on one thing...I'm still in C status.

I'm not holding my breath yet. Hopefully, your dealer might be right. If builds start next week, it would give FCA the rest of this week to get VIN's assigned. Maybe that is what @JeepCares may be refering to as starting this week. We can only hope. But, we have heard so many different stories, we don't know what to believe anymore.
So, I tried to run some numbers today. A whole lotta what ifs/assumptions, but this is what I'm seeing as possible (even if not desired).

In this post (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...more-yet-to-be-built.18346/page-2#post-278430), based on a couple of reference points, it looks like Granite made up 28-30% of LE orders. Based on that they would build ~1200 Granite LEs.

Heard numbers of 75k JTs per year. That would be ~6200/mo, or ~250 a day with ~25 work days/mo (heard somewhere else 50 per hour, so maybe that's conservative).

Fulfilling the early LE orders has NOT been a priority for Jeep, as seen by other LE color deliveries. I mean, even the $100k contest winner got their check well before they got their LE (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...launch-edition-100k-winner.17304/#post-282917). Assuming ~5% of the builds are actually LEs, that would be ~310/month. That means it would take over 3 months to build the Granite LEs. So even if they started building them this week, it's possible some won't be built until October, and may not see VINs until close to then. Jeep may surprise us, but lately it's been mostly disappointment.

My dealer said he spoke to his regional rep today. The rep told him no foreseeable build date for granite LE. Suggested picking another color or just wait. I am hanging in there and hoping it’s not October.
Maybe we just got trolled by @JeepCares today. If it's October, I'll probably be so used to waiting, that waiting a little longer for the diesel and the brake controller will be easy.

Anyone check with Jeep chat today? Wondering what today's story is as to what is causing the delay. Trying to refrain from bugging them everyday. Figured we could all take turns.

I just contacted Jeep chat and was told " You will need to contact the concierge line for details on the Launch Edition Gladiators. Jeep chat has not been provided any details."

That's what they told me yesterday also. I call bs on it. You'd think that Jeep would have painting down pat by now.

We will continue to update you as we receive any new information. Please continue to send us a private message if you would like an order status update and we'll be happy to provide.

Well painting in general is a "new thing" so I agree, they might just be waiting on the ability to match a color. Oh wait, SW or BM can match any color.

My dealer (Kent @ Peterson in Idaho) just called to give me an update. All of his Granite LEs are still in C status (a month or so ago he said a few were in D status). Said he is hounding his production rep, and they expect movement on the Granite LEs in the next week or so (same his assistant told me yesterday). He did say that he has some dealer order Granite Rubicons that are G and further this week, but did say they were black tops, not color matched.

@JeepCares told me no VIN, but I could expect to get one soon as the Granites move through the line. My dealer said his manager’s contact in production told him mine was starting next week. Keeping my fingers crossed, but not get my hopes up too high.

After work today I think I'll drop by my dealer and ask about my status and see what they have to say. I read all the information that everyone provides and figured it was a waste of gas or time being told a variation of the same thing that everyone else gets told. I can't think of any other process that accepts money to secure an order and still after 3 months can't at least give you a straight answer on delivery date. Even if that date shifts along the way communicating the reasons for the shift would seem like awesome customer service compared to this. So, I'll start asking every Friday at the dealer and add what information I get to the thread. Another thing that I find a little unusual is all the Jeep internet reporters and bloggers haven't investigated or written about this. @JeepCares

OK. So I'm hearing three completely different stories today. And you wonder why we continue to be so frustrated:
  • @JeepCares says Granite LEs started build this week
  • The Jeep concierge line continues to tell us that they may start building Granite LEs by the end of the month (but no guarantee)
  • My dealer is saying they are hearing from their reps that Granite LEs may start building next week.
Why are three different Jeep sources giving three different answers? :headbang::headbang::headbang:
Just another example of the exceptionally, meticulous, detailed, exacting, methodical, precise, immaculate, superb, excellence, of organization and communication, FCA is renowned for! ;{

If you think that this stinks then check out the diesel thread from earlier today. Hate to ruin your day but thought you might want to know about this.
