Oh good observation. Thanks so much.

@HjStrater Quick question for you - was there anything you were able to do to fix the issue and source from the DRL or did you have to source the power from a different place? If you had to source from somewhere else, where did you source from?
I haven’t gone back out to fix it, but my plan is to trigger a relay off of the DRL circuit, but run power off of the fuse tap as Oracle intended.

I want the ability to turn off the Halos without having them run off a separate circuit so I will eventually make this work lol

I get it. So basically that harness could be the relay trigger. I'm assuming it could handle just the low draw of the relay, but then the actual power feed would come from something else (Cig lighter fuse via an add-a-circuit or just any 12v source).

Do you know what the "logic" rules are for the DRL circuit anyway? Mine didn't come with OEM DRL's, so I had to activate with a Tazer. Are they always on when the vehicle is running? Or are there other rules?

Only because that is nowhere in the instructions that I saw?
I hooked the Halo to my Aux switch, and haven’t been using them, which means no heated lenses up here in Alaska. Thankfully we haven’t been out in any wet snows since I installed them.

I have mine on my Aux 4 switch and they heat up great, even with the burned elements. I just changed the settings to "latching" and "recall last state" and they work great. They are on whenever the Jeep is on, but I can turn them off with the Aux switch whenever I want.

Has anybody had issues getting the halos to even cut on? I have a '22 JTSD with factory halogen lighting. No DRL.

used the Quadratec DRL harness to tap into my wiring, so no splicing. I activated the DRL's with my Tazer and did the reboot/2 sleep cycle. The tap off the wiring harness I'm using registers 12v via my multi-meter. I have that harness tapped into the Halo harness from Oracle, but at the pins on both the left and right side of that harness, I'm getting less than 1 volt.

Does the halo harness have a resistor to lower the voltage or am I not getting proper voltage at the harness for some reason?

*Edited - So after some further testing, I think the issue is my headlights. I tested the actual pin-outs on the harness again, and now I'm getting 12volts to the harness, but still no halos. Any other thoughts?

**edited again - now I'm thinking it's NOT the lights, but rather the Quadratec DRL harness. I patched the halo harness directly to the battery and disconnected the Quadratec Harness, and they seem to be working - a little dimmer than I would have expected, but working. I think the Quadratec DRL harness is somehow mis-wired. It's telling me I have 12v, but I think when it actually hooks up to something, it's shorting out.
Yeah, I would exchange your harness. I just installed it and it’s working from the DRL lead. I had LED’s from the factory. That’s the only difference in our setups that I can see.

Two months in, do you have an update @ORACLElights? I appreciate the offer of store credit, but that doesn’t help when I have a set of heated that may or may not be any improvement over the Oracle BiLED they replaced.

Agreed, we are 2 months past reporting our problems. An update would be appreciated. Winter will be over before we get replacements. I was not offered store credit, but would consider it.

At this point I’d just take a set of the regular, non-heated Oculus lights and refund the price difference.

Company sells a defective product from day 1.
Company offers no remedy.
Company will not take defective product back.
Company will not issue refund but only store credit in some cases.

Sounds like a lawsuit

I'm going to be patient with them, but an update would be nice. I still have mine installed. The heating element is burnt, but seems to be working, at least in part. Being up North, I really need the heated lenses; that was the whole point to me getting them. If I can't get a new pair, then I'll probably just go back to the halogens.

I am going to be patient until Friday. I send an email last week requesting a RMA and refund - no reply. I sent another today. No reply with the RMA and refund means I will begin with a complaint to the BBB and escalate from there as needed.

Just going to wait patiently. They did great sorting out and making right the bumper light plug and play harness issue. Just a risk for an initial product run.

So I have the Jeep factory LED package and just drove through the east coast storm last night in PA and WV, and the snow collected (again) in the recessed lighting to the point is was completely flush with the hood. My lights also (still) make snow look like I’m entering hyperspace, even after angling them down. Lastly, I got the diode dynamics fogs, and THEY also collect snow like it’s their job. Aka I’m driving blind.

I’ve briefly read through the posts here and it looks like the elements are burning the lens? How prevalent of an issue is this? Is it just some occasional growing pains in new products or are all the lights doing it, and Oracle is going to change the recipe to fix the issue? Thanks for any info bc I’ve had my gladiator for a year and a half, and driving in snow is beyond dangerous.

Hi Colin, we will have a new version that will not have the burning occurrence. Currently, this re-design is enduring beta testing to ensure performance against snowy conditions without damage. All warranties and new purchases will receive this version once it is available. Hope this helps.

If anyone has other questions, please feel free to PM us (we are still not getting all of our forum notifications so we are trying not to miss anyone)

Hi Rachel, thanks for getting back to me. I’m happy to hear the new re-design is showing signs of improvement - any info on when they’ll be available?
