If you think Jeep stepped up to fix this on there own you don't know Jeep.Definitely feel bad for all the JL owners out there, but glad Jeep is finally stepping up to get them fixed. As for the Gladiator, shouldn't have to worry since they haven't started production yet, should be able to be addressed and not cause any issues.
No not saying they stepped up on their own, I said " finally stepping up". No matter what the reason at least it's getting fixed and can be addressed in the future and they are checking all the jeeps to ensure it's not a problem. If you think Jeep stepped up to fix this on there own you don't know Jeep.
Yea they are getting hammered in the press right now. Its looking like there might even be a stop sale going into affect. That means this is a SERIOUS issue, and not a bunch of people wining on a forum for no reason. If you think Jeep stepped up to fix this on there own you don't know Jeep.
Finally FCA is taking this seriously. Also makes a guy happy to have waited for the next gen.Yea they are getting hammered in the press right now. Agreed. Very glad I had a reason to wait. Hopefully they get all this ironed out before the JT is released. But who knows, it's a new chassis so it may come with its own inherent issues. Hoping not though. Finally FCA is taking this seriously. Also makes a guy happy to have waited for the next gen.
The frames will come from the same supplier, so chances are good that the QC fix translates to the JT. If FCA doesn't threaten TF out of the supplier it'd be a shock.Agreed. If they haven’t built and warehouse’d JT frames already for upcoming production...The frames will come from the same supplier, so chances are good that the QC fix translates to the JT. If FCA doesn't threaten TF out of the supplier it'd be a shock.
Here’s 12 stacked up from July...Probably not stock piled as JIT (Just In Time) manufacturing processes probably don't allow for such stockpiling on simple, non-mechanical parts.
Interesting comment...JT frames are NOT made by Tower.
Let's make that clear.
Aren’t the frames made by Hyundai Mobis?Interesting comment...
Hopefully this means the JT chassis are better than JL frames already.
