This. I'm tired of the roof leaks with the Freedom Top - so much so that I'm planning to buy a single-piece aftermarket top.
I have no leaks. Did you tighten the bolts too tight?

No, it's leaking from the seal along the top of the windshield and drips onto the steering column, passenger floor, or the center stack. I've had new seals installed by the dealer and it still leaked, then I had the freedom panels off, cleaned and tried applying a layer of waterproof rubber-safe grease to the seals.

Have you checked the drain tube(s) that go down the A pillar(I think?)

Those can get clogged and then the water will force its way past the seals like you’re describing. Someone posted on here or the JL forum about it.

I mean, if we want to get specific the current gladiator would classify as a half-ton truck. Yes the payload is BARELY a half-ton, but it's there. Tow 6k lbs, that's right up there with a mid 90's V6 C1500 chevy or F-150 (both of which had larger payloads, yes, but still).

Short answer - no. This truck was expensive enough, can't fathom how much they'd charge for a "bigger" version.
It’s way more powerful than that. They had under 200 hp and four speed transmission vs our eight. I agree on the size though.

Merging those two together should be more like this IMO...still not perfect, but I'd drive it

First thing that popped in my head was not “angry” grille. It was “judgmental” grille. Like the ole school marm when you say something stupid in class.

I'll stick with the gladiator looks and the LX3 swap under the hood. Best of both worlds. Still looks good and with 550hp it will get up and go like I wish the gladiator would.

I would rather have a Gladiator Corvette. Love the idea of something powered by an LS3 or an LT.

Corvetiator?
Gladivette?

Whatever it is, the creator should really seek professional help.

😂…. that reminds me of the Civette…18 years ago.

I think it makes more sense to convert a Sleeper into something FAST but it’s gotta still look like a sleeper.

Always loved the “Farm Truck”…..😂

For giggles, this was Gemini's rear of the Jeep Gladiator Corvicon

I have both a 2020 JT and 2021 Raptor (first year of gen 3). So when I think about a slightly bigger JT there are a few metrics I do care about.

Fist would be to lengthen the bed to a proper 6ft from the current 5.5. this would result in longer rear control arms which will provide much better articulation and wheel travel.

Next would be a V8 option. I'd love for it to be manual transmission compatible too, but that's even more wishful thinking. I'm just sick of the cam follower issues. (I on cam #5 now, and it's largey due to racing the truck in Mexico and all the suspension testing I've done on metal 3D printed shocks)

Towing should be rated to 8,500 with a tongue weight of 850

If cooling is an issue then make it slightly wider, but minimum. The JTs width is great on so many trails that a full size truck would not enjoy (especially a raptor)

Bump up the Mojave suspension specs. It's not hard to get 12+ in of wheel travel out of the front and 14+ out of the rear without needing to lift the vehicle much higher than the Mojave already is. There's things you can do with live valve that help reduce roll and dove in the event of an accident in order to satisfy NHTS crash requirements. (That's how Ford does it with the Raptor)

Find a way to shave 2-300lbs - this might drive up the price a bit, but the way people outfit their rigs there is a ton of weight added, so having more wiggle room is nice. Plus that savings would help on off road mpg for long overlanding trips.

Finally - minimum 30 gallon fuel tank. 22 is like nothing. I'm happy with my Long Range America aux tank, 19 gallons is a lot of extra fuel, but it would be nice to have 30 from the start.

I want a 7/8ths full-size Gladiator with a full width grill for better diesel cooling (like the OG Gladiator had). Honestly with the size of my family + dog it's pretty cramped for road trips and we'd be better off with a full-size but I love taking off the roof and doors in summer and a full size is just too damn wide for the paint to survive the forest road ingrowth where I live. If it split the difference between the current width and the Ram 1500's width that would be perfect.

Also the diesel would come with a redesigned manual and select-trac, obviously.
