These numbers seem crazy low. I wonder if the Max tows are setup differently. One person on here and two I have talked to around my town are getting well over 19mpgs on trips, even when riding over 70 or 75, all with the Max tow package. Two lifted with 35's 1 stock. I'm not sure if I'm accurate or not about the setup but I'm getting 18.5 average in mine around town mostly driving and over 20 on trips over 300 miles round trip. Mine now has 2300 miles on it and it seems like the more I miles I get on it the better the mileage is getting.

I am averaging 17.4, ~4600 miles and mostly highway at 70MPH. We will see how going to 35's and the lift affect the mileage. I was hoping the mileage would not be more than 2mpg less then the JLUR but I am around 3-4 so far.

Best i have seen on trip with my JTR is around 17.2. My overall since getting the Jeep is 16.7. Just over 3k miles and except for the trip from NC to Florida...its been all flat Florida driving.

Not even come close to ]19 or 20.

I'm in a hilly part of NC, so something must be up

I have 850 miles on my stock Rubicon. Almost all of those miles were freeway driving on a long drive this past weekend. My average speed was 72 mph, and the vehicle shows 15.6 mpg.

Seeing all these other people with low mpg actually pisses me off. If it was just me that'd be one thing but we're all really low and I was expecting much higher once broken in. 16 city 23 highway does not equate to 16 overall for many of us driving on the highway a lot.

Just glad I'm getting over 18 in mine. On my way back now from 700 mile round trip and getting just over 19 and averaging 71 mph

You might be on to something with the Max Tow being set up different. I'm averaging 21-22.5 MPG mixed roads of hwy, city and I-State on my 52-54 mile drive to work and then home. I'm at around 5000 miles. I did notice a slight increase after I pulled out the back seats, that weight more than the winch and bumper I installed. "No lift stock tires"

I have 12,600 miles on my JT LE since 10 June 2019. I have 56 fuel logs on Fuelly. Overall Avg is now 15.7 mpg. It has gone down considerably with the winter driving here in Iowa. Miles are mixed city, highway at 60, highway at 70, and interstate at over 80. Two trips to Colorado and wheeling for a few weeks. My JT weighs 6020lbs with me in it and a full tank of fuel. I'm happy with what I'm getting and know it will be better with warmer weather. I also plan to remove some of the weight soon!

I just wonder if it's something to do with the tuning on them. I remember my 2010 JKU getting 12-13 MPGs when I first added the 35's on it. I got a superchips Flashpaqs and running the 91 octane tune I was able to gain 2-3 mpg, between 14.5-17 depending on what kind of roads I was driving. Every time I would switch back to 87 octane tune gas mileage would go back to around 14 total and with no tune back to 12-13. Not saying that's the answer but it does seem strange that the gas mileage is all over the place.

Could be, my MJ with 4.0 H.O.,auto (3:55 gears) got 29 MPG before I took it to Germany on I-state was over 20 MPG at over 100 k. My XJ (4:56) got about 20 MPG after mods. My LJ (3:73 gears) manual transmission average is 16 MPG.
