I didn't realize the Rubi's were getting that low of mileage. I have been getting 21-22 in the Overland. 14-15 seems a drastic drop.
The gearing makes a big difference when your start going over 60mph. Under that I get around 20mpg, over it i get about 15mpg

Mine shows 15.5 miles per gallon and I am running 35 inch tires on my rubicon but like people are saying in another gas mileage post they didn’t buy the gladiator for the gas mileage but I wish it got better mileage
Not complaining about it, just asking a question.

That is amazing. I do run with ESS off all the time.... so, I probably lose a little mpg there.... I hate that start/stop deal.
I run with it on...I have only had 2 scares where I wish it was off...but the MPG savings seem to be legit with it on. I should try running my next tank of gas with it off just to see how much difference there is.
I run with mine off all the time. I wish it didn't have it. I haven't seen a difference from when I ran with on or off.

I got 4:10 gears and I run around 80 mph in mine on the interstate and mine seems to do fine at around 70-80. Don't do much over 80. I'm in the foothills- Piedmont area of North Carolina

12,400 miles Rubicon with manual. Get 18-20 mpg driving mostly in town. All highway 21-22 mpg between 70 & 75. If I got 15 mpg I would still be fine with it because I love the thing. When I pull my RV I get 11-12 mpg and stay in 4th and 5th gear.

Jeep Gladiator Gas mileage MVIMG_20200312_190521

As of last night I'm now over 18, was at 19.3 before I got back to the house. I would definitely be fine if I was only getting 15 as well, but I'm loving 19 MPGs on 35's, makes me now wish I had went for the 37's

My first tank full was showing 14 mpg. I’m at 1,900 miles now and showing 16.5 mpg.
Rubicon on stock 33” AT’s doing 70% highway driving on mostly flat roads.

Not saying it is or isn't but has everyone checked their speedometer to make sure it's set right, especially if you drove off the dealership lot with larger tires than stock or you have changed tires. I know my buddy just bought a JL on 35's and he was getting pretty crappy gas mileage and the dealership had not reset his computer for the 35's. He was around 14mpg and I used my JScan and reset his computer and now he's at 17.5. I think he was off about 5mph. Some dealers don't think about this stuff when they add the tires on. Just asking

According to my phone gps my stock JTS Non max was showing a consistent 2 mph slower than what the speedometer showed.

I added JTR wheels/tires and it’s pretty much dead nuts now... go figure.

On the other hand, seeing the picture above going 75mph and 20mpg has never happened on mine. Unless going down hill with a tailwind.

I go 70mph my mpgs go to around 16 at best. Maybe I should try driving without cruise on all the time when I’m not in traffic... I don’t know.

I’m at 3500 miles.

I came from a Canyon Diesel where I could get +600 miles a tank, and I knew I would never see that again. So not worried but it’s crazy seeing some of the mpg some get.

That was on flat land but it's rolling hills where I live. I wonder if having the Max tow with 4:10 gears makes a difference in MPGs, I'm trying to figure out why it's so all over the place. I'm getting 19.2mpg now after the 20 mile ride to work which is all city driving, stop and go about 15 stop lights. I do not use ESS either but I feel like that would not make a difference for the better.

My Rubicon is somewhere in the 17-18 mpg range over 2,500 miles. 50/50 city/highway driving and plenty of hills where I live.
