Got my sill plates installed this morning. The paint I chose for the lettering is a bit more brown than the Gator, but going sight unseen I think it will do.

It’s Model Master brand. The down side is it costs around $5, and can’t even tell I used any from the bottle!!

pay attention, class was in session, you were out looking at your gladys and the plywood.... and missed the part where they were referencing the bearded zz top guy at the purchase of the jeep, not the zz top internet photo...okay now you can go back to staring at gladys and wishing she was gator :beer::beer::beer:

(this from another zz top impersonator --long red...and gray beard)

Haha didn't see your post until I wrote mine right below. Looks like we had the same Gator experience today.
I really wanted it to look good so I was pulling for it and it still blew me away. Bonus my wife was all in on the color right away as well.

Going color matched fenders and top Rubicon with the tan leather. :)

Looks great. What side steps are on under the Rubi rails? Thanks.
Ace Engineering rock sliders. They were in my garage waiting and first mod the dealership didn't do for me. Sure helps step in to the lifted setup too!

Did you have any problems removing the bolts? Did you use heat?

The body bolts were a PITA. FCA installs with red loctite. I had a cheap electric impact wrench that could not throw down the torque needed. So it was lots of cranks with a breaker bar and a pipe over it, then spinning the second half out with the wimpy impact wrench. Probably took me an hour per side just removing 3 bolts each. I wouldn't attempt it without an impact wrench to at least help and ideally a powerful one hopefully the real air tool. Once the rails are on though, they are fantastic.

Do the rock rails that come factory with the Rubicon utilize the body mount bolts??
