I'll be ordering a Gladiator Rubicon 2023...soon. I'll be adding 37" tires and setting it up for some Overland type adventuring. I will not be towing a trailer, however, will be adding a Topper/tent. I have a few questions and am hoping for some input.
The Diesel can be ordered with 4:10 gears, so, I'm thinking the Diesel w/4:10 and 37" is fairly simple with not much more needed since the Rubicon has a 2" lift already(?). I may add a Terraflex 2.5 later if the stock just isn't enough with some xtra heavy rear springs due to the weight in the bed. Do you think the 4:10/37"tire and Diesel is going to be enough for 8th gear cruising? Who has this set up?
The alternative is of course the 3.6l. Same basic set up above, however, a gear change to 4:88. Who is running this? How is the freeway driving?
BTW, This truck will not be used for a DD. Just fun.
