I am in the group of thought that the 3.0 Hurricane will replace the 3.6 someday in future , I have no need or want the high output engine pushing everything to extremes and requiring premium gas. The standard low output 420HP will be fine for me , but I prefer non turbo engines.
It’s in the Wagoneers already , and they are heavy trucks ,the Gladiator has more need for the Hurricanes lower RPM torque then the Wrangler. BUT I like my 3.6 , does all I want ,gets pretty good gas mileage, so whatever the latest rumor is, Gladiator discontinued, Hurricane engine, electric, two door, or Mojave discontinued, is fine with me!…Jack

The GME-4 is the 2.0 that's in JL/JT's today.

The GME-6 is the Hurricane. It fits the JL/JT chassis.

STLA Large is not the JL/JT chassis, JL/JT is.

If you check all the boxes on a AEV build, it will add $31K. So I can see that price.

It is in 25
And you have that from Stellantis?

The 2.0 would be a total wimp in a JT, rendering it unable to tow or handle the payload of even an Overland.

Where's all of these "facts" coming from?

I made it all up, you got me.

I've set an Alexa reminder for 90 days from now and we can revisit. Until then, I'm out, enjoy your fine status 😊

Which will do what exactly to convince me that it’s worth $94,000?
It's "worth" whatever a seller and buyer agree it's worth. Doesn't matter whether or not you think it is.
But if you add up the cost of all of the parts, that's roughly the price it would come up to.
Trust me, someone will buy it, to them it has that worth.

AEV does not have to convince you, they just has to convince somebody. That is probably why most Jeepers have never seen a true AEV factory conversion outside the internet or a trade show.

Seriously, that article we've basically pulled apart because of all of the "we think" and "we expect" stuff?

The 2.0 isn't the same as the 2.0 with the 4xe.
I'm saying it would be a really crappy thing if they put out a JT with a 2.0 the same as you can buy a 2.0 JL

This is a quote from that uneducated, mostly guessing article -
>> We expect the 2025 Gladiator 4xe to use the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe. That means a turbocharged 2.0-liter <<

We expect? in other words, they are guessing.
That's a far cry from offering a JT with a 2.0 like the JL has.
And - "we expect" is a hint that they don't have inside information, but are expecting it to be the same as the JLU 4xe.

We'll see if they offer that tiny 2.0 as an option for the JT - like it was for the JL. The 3.6 is the bare minimum for a truck like the JT.

Pretty sure this is a forum full of opinions. My opinion is it’s not worth spending $94,000 of a 3.6 jeep with some goodies on it. Pointing out “ people will pay whatever they are willing to pay and a dealer will charge whatever it can get away with “ is irrelevant to my opinion.

If we would like to dig deep into the objective, I bet anyone could build an equivalent or better rig for far less than $94,000. Hence my option that it’s overpriced.

That doesn’t mean those that buy one, are somehow objectively wrong - I didn’t say that. Nowhere did I imply that. I’m sure it IS worth it for some to get that all put together off the showroom. I would still guess that I’m not alone in my opinion that it’s not overpriced.

I can already tell you’re “that guy” on this forum lol.

Fair enough! Still not sure why anyone would argue that’s a reasonable price simply because 8 people are wiling to pay it! Not that you’re arguing that!
