The Alucab and Roofnest tops are still contenders for my build. The biggest issue is cutting the floors out of the bottom of the tents for camper access. Here's a German JK/Alucab build with an access hole..

Here's some very cool concepts from SkyCamper. I think the bed over the back seats would work nicely for my Gladiator build.

Made a bit of progress today. Waiting for the fiberglass delivery.

I love my Gladiator! I sure couldn't do this in my CJ7 or Landcruiser. I can't believe I fit 4' x 10' sheets in a 5 foot bed. Another plus for keeping the tailgate on my camper build.

A little too tall for my build, but still a great water tank for Gladiators.

I’m thinking of using the spare tire location. I’d like to move the spare eventually (find an alternate location to mount) and putting that weight low would be a benefit.

Nice source for custom tanks! Cut a few inches off of #20036 pictured below, and it would be a
nice fit over the Gladiator wheel well. By the way, I like your list of vehicles (GT3). I had a 911 Cab and 944. Neither could touch yours though :)

It's a bit shorter than I want for the Gladiator second floor, but Roofnest released a pretty sweet Aluminum RTT. It wouldn't be too hard to cut the aluminum floor out, build a frame and hinge it for a push up bed, with walking access below.

@Mules thanks for the comments. I recently sold the RS for way more than I paid for it 😎😎😎. Even though I wasnt considering it the guy just offered me stupid money so I couldn’t say no.

Anyway my water tank sits right up against the back of the bed and has a 30 gallon capacity. That’s not to say I’ll be carrying that much water every time I go out but if I decide to plant myself on some deserted beach in Baja for a week or more I don’t want to have to leave because of water. I’ll usually just bring 5 to 10 gallons depending on how often I’ll be able to find water.

Has anyone built an indoor shower for a Gladiator rig yet? It's a crazy idea, but there's some pretty small showers in van builds today.

I’ve put a bit of thought into it and have a few ideas on how one could be added. I don’t love the idea of a shower curtain that has to be put away wet, but haven’t come up with a better idea yet. Want to install a removable bench/counter solution and a small shower pan could be installed between them in the aisle. Otherwise I know there’s cheap portable pop up shower bases that just collect the water and then need to be dumped afterwards.

Check out Geyser Systems for a pretty water efficient shower system. I found a used one at REI I’m going to try out.
