I'm starting to plan next summer's trip. This is way too much driving for two weeks. I'll have to cut it down quite a bit.

It would be nice, but I would have to spend all summer on this road trip.

Tahoe is on my bucket list for exploring and skiing. I'm heading to Vail next week.

If you make it to Montana I suggest also checking the west side of the state as well, not just the plains. Northern Idaho has some spectacular places as well. As for Washington, you don't want to miss the north cascades or the Olympics - specifically the Wynoochee basin.

Maybe if you had 2 months instead of 2 weeks it would work.

We are finalizing or first trip of the year which will begin March 20th. The route from NC to Utah and Nevada back through Texas will be approximately 3700 miles and take about a month…

That’s the problem with those of us that don’t live in the west it literally takes days of hard driving to get to the places we want to visit….

I'll definitely check out the Cascades and Olympics!

Try living just south of Houston and wanting to go somewhere without concrete, we can drive for 3 days and still be in Texas. ??

And the only way you get a view in Houston is to drive over a Bridge! At least you have a Beach near by.

I went to HS in Kerrville TX.

Worked on some interior furniture this weekend. Installed it, but need to remove to paint the panels gray, black or stain/seal. ?

Looks great! I like the 8020 three way corners. Gray might look good and match your Fridge.

I was hoping to figure out a way to return to better MPG’s after I put a Harker Outdoors EDC on my JTRD. It is basically a catchers mitt for air coming over the roof. I purchased a Hooke Off-road roof racks and placed one of them in front of the gap between the roof and camper. I put a Yakima wind deflector/fairing on the rack to push air over the shell. So far, it appears to be working as I have gained 1.5-2 mpg. Every mile counts when driving a brick and your mileage may vary!

I have been thinking of something like this also, and to maybe cut down on some wind noise. What width is the one you went with?
