The conversation about heating the camper has now spilled over to insulating the build. The better insulated, the less heating I will need. The wood ribs on the build, give me great areas to insulate the walls and roof. The next question is spray foam, foam roll or panels, thermo fill blankets, or good old fiberglass (blah). Here's a good video that shows spray foam, peal and stick, and blankets along with pricing and difficulty. I haven't decided yet.

Finally glued the top down. The bricks are holding the seam tight since I can’t reach it with clamps.

What are your plans fir a finish? Gel coat? Paint? Bed liner?
Finish paint Crystal Granite to match the Gladiator. It still needs a lot of work before finish paint.

I'll have to update this photoshop picture because I increased the height of the roof top section from 8" to 16", and the shape is different.

Here's a better representation. With a roof top rack over the removeable Freedom tops, it will look more balanced.

I'm going to use fiberglass to strengthen the connections from the wood ribs to the FRP panels, and also add a layer of glass to the corners. This might take a while, the freezer is empty and it's Deer Season.

Have rock wool insulation in my barn...its good and blown-in closed cell foam for the house. I would go with blown-in closed cell foam for your application. Think it will provide the best R-value per inch of thickness...while less weight and sound-deadening. But, I'm not an expert...just my user-opinion.

This website is very interesting. I've never considered wool insulation, but I've switched over completely to wool long johns, shirt, and socks for skiing and hunting. Nothing else handles the cold and moisture like wool does. It's a bit pricey but so is the spray in insulation. It might be a good material due to all the condensation issues I hear about in small campers.

The foam will also add a bit of strength and sound deadening to the shell. There is something nice about hitting the outside of a camper and hearing a thud instead of a rattle.
