However, I doubt the rack would work with articulation of the cab and bed.
electric space heater would work if you got the plug in the backI’m a buyer for my avatar (as created by @Bobs85Reny )
I think it’d be great to have as a continuous piece sharing heated space, but I’m not sure how to connect the roof without some type of isolator between cab and bed. I’m also fine with the standard Jeep hardtop and a separate shell similar to that of a typical truck. As someone mentioned, my main objective is a storage space protected from the elements and thieves.
And cool factor of course.
That is part of what we are working on now. We are thinking a solid window but a square slider that goes in line with the back window opening. And then also we are trying to figure out if the top is off the cab, then wind will put a lot pressure on the fiberglass top so working that out as well.I’m a buyer for my avatar (as created by @Bobs85Reny )
Not what you’re talking about, but this is kind of my thought for getting ac and heat to the pup when it’s really bad outside. There was a rendering by the same person of the shell that made it look kind of like the old K series Suburbans. I'd like to get a topper like that. I imagine it replacing the roof and sliding on so that my bed space was covered and open to the cab so it would get some heat. I want to keep my dogs in the bed partitioned off so that they aren't getting their hair all over my new truck but they have to have a heated space in winter. Something like these. If not then I'd just keep the bed uncovered.

Lol... not with the plug’s 400W rating and without killing your battery in a few short minutes.electric space heater would work if you got the plug in the back

Well I meant shared heated space ultimately to just emphasize it sharing the same air. Heating the area isn’t really a big concern of mine. Just thinking a K5 Blazer or something neat like thatelectric space heater would work if you got the plug in the back
Are you looking to supply to the masses? Or is this more of a personal project? That is part of what we are working on now. We discussed this in the thread that I originally posted this in. the rack would be 2 pieces as well as the top.
+1

YES !!!I think even better it would just mount to the top of the bed like this and only go halfway over the cab.
That way the wife could still pop the top over the driver and passenger seats and the husband can still keep all the gear on top. With no problem of articulation.
