gladiator lease residual values?

Looking at lease fine print details and they have 0.7 residual on MSRP... is that normal? Finance guy said they hold value, but that looks way optimistic.

If your lease states a 70% residual value, that is a good thing for you if you are planning on buying it out.

Not really. High residuals are generally because of support for a car/truck by the manufacturer. This means you pay more at lease end. If market values are low, and you buy high, that’s not a good thing.

High residuals only mean lower payments all things equal.

Just leased a 23 JTR about a month ago, MSRP was 65 and Residual is coming in at 42, so I'm looking at appx 65%. Hopefully the market outpaces that and I'll have equity at the end like I did on my 20 JTO.
