Say what you want about how he ended up there but there isn’t another pickup on the market as capable as a JT Rubicon. The fact that he could drive it out of there bone stock is a testament to it…

That’s cause it couldn’t get there in the first place… ???
90% of the time, the Mojave would have gotten in & out of there twice as fast. ;-)

Until proven otherwise, I believe that the owner of the Rubicon may very well have been returned to the safety of civilization by virtue of a Mojave.

cheers!

I saw those wheel tracks on the ground, where Matt was spotting the Rubicon through. Looked like more than just Matt’s Patagonias.

btw, I’m just keeping the dream alive. In all seriousness, I really would like to see some unbiased comparisons out in the wild. TFL was close, but they never hit the Mojave’s off-road plus button while in 4lo. And I’ve not seen a vid, yet, of recovery in a Mojave, unless it was the YT channel’s main vehicle.

45 and bank of the hill for 1 obstacle? If the driver would have taken the whole trail at 45mph I would be willing to bet they wouldn’t have been stuck there ?.

It reminds me of a trail I took my Nissan Titan down. I hit a washed out section I knew I couldn’t get across, and realized I needed to turn around and go back up. It sucked but I luckily I made it. The worst part was turning the truck around.

Yeah..........because they never go anywhere to get stuck.

Rubi's are never stuck. Just slowed down.
Because when you get stuck at freeway speeds off road there's nothing left to recover. Youtube has guidelines against posting dead bodies and all. I'll admit I've never even used the locker and I've only used 4Lo once. At the speeds I'm traveling in the desert neither is likely ever needed. Now if we are running rock trails we take the wife's JLUR. Much more maneuverable, full belly skids, lockers, 4-1 LO range, more lift than my JTM, and 39s. Right tool for the job.

This is one of the best instructional off-road videos I have seen. Matt and team bring a stock Rubicon thru many difficult obstacles that a stock Rubicon would have some difficulties with. I fun video to watch. It also shows how easy this obstacles are with a properly set up off road vehicles. Having 40's does't hurt.........

Thanks for sharing. Not sure that lived up to the title screen hype - hardest rescue ???? Matt has pulled stuff off of cliffs, turned over trucks and submersed. …but got my click. The stock JTR did very well. I too carry spare push in style valve stems after getting burned a couple of times. Knock on wood but since I’ve started carrying them, I haven’t needed them and only practiced on a tractor tire.

Noticed the owner was one of my Texas brethren based on the registration. We just just don't have that kind of terrain around these parts.

most Youtubers title videos like this because it tricks the algorithm in to pushing to more users

As long as it was a paved or smooth gravel road, yes. . . ?
