Garden gnomes took over your jeep too? I've got a few myself - I hope 3 car seats fit across the rear seat with the doors on. If I leave the doors off my CJ, my boy climbs inside and hangs out there.

Good news is that you can get 3 across in a JL! You will need to get a more narrow car seat like the Diono Radian, but they'll fit! We have two Diono's and a regular sized one and they fit fine. Only problem are that those seats are not cheap!

I think best top was discussing releasing a soft top that fit this need. I’m definitely looking forward to it.

That's how I envision a soft top. The other would be using a bed rack as an exo-skeleton. If it had removable panels like a soft top, but with the roll bars on the outside, then mechanical attachment along the bed.

i bought it like that just had to make the base frame a bit narrower to fit
i picked it up second hand i think it was only $300
nice & light easy to put on & off on my own it was a bargain

yea we have an online site called gumtree.com.au probably a bit like your craigs list its free to advertise & people sell all sorts of thingsthats where i found the cj10, the canopy for it & the willys pickup & many other various items over the years its 1 of my favourite sites
