I want a soft top for the summer but I hate the way the Mopar soft top looks. Has anyone purchased the Rugged Ridge Voyager Soft Top? If so how is it?

I just installed it yesterday. So far I think I like it. What questions do you have?

How’s the quality? Does it seal up good to prevent water leaks?

24 hours, so nothing too definitive. I am happy with the quality and fit. It was tough to install in the lower than recommended temperature, which actually makes me think it will be pretty sealed up. Drove it a bit in some light rain yesterday and had no issues, and it rained over night, and no water inside.

I don’t get the hate of the soft top. This is arguable the best soft top Jeeps made but yet people can’t get over how it looks while propped up. You won’t see it but do you hate how others will view it? It’s a solid top and super durable.

They did a poor job with the design, it should fold all the way back to the bed, or be a option that allows you to fold it to the bed or leave it up top if you want to look stupid. If it folded to the bed I would put mine on but as it is I want because I'll see it if I get out of my truck and it looks stupid.

I'm sure the engineers designed this in such a way that the bed could continue to be fully utilized without risking damage to the top. From an engineering standpoint this makes the most sense to me. Seeing as if you dropped it to the bed and had a full bed of payload you risk damaging the top should the weight shift mid ride. While I can agree it doesn't look as good a JKU fully dropped I can careless about looks when its open as I am the one absorbing all the rays of sun. I can care less about the actual appearance and care more about the function.

If they were smart they would rethink that logic if that's what they thought. They should of given the owner the option because some may never use the bed to haul anything. Also, you could damage one just as easily in a JK if you had something big in the cargo area moving around. Just saying, they more than likely lost a lot of sales over the fact that it doesn't fold all the way to the bed.

Only 4 torx bolts to take the soft top off, put in the bed if you want, they even included a ratchet and the bit with my Jeep. The soft top was one of the best options I got on my jtrd, removing the back window is a nice feature.

The man-bun hate has been over-discussed to death. Can we not?

On topic, I'm really hoping Bestop puts something out eventually. My wife's Trektop has been fantastic, and I would love something similar for my Gladdy.
