Hi all, wondering if you could assist with something. I bought a new 2024 Rubicon 6MT and I've had it for under a week. About once every time i've driven it, it has chimed at me during the drive. But there is no text on the dash or lights flashing to let me know what it is warning me of. This is the first new car I've owned but when I've rented cars in the past, warning chimes are usually accompanied by an alert to let you know what is being warned.

It happens seemingly at random. I checked blind-spot monitoring and turned the tone off so it just uses the mirror lights. I went through all the vehicle settings and everything that has a chime associated with it I have turned off. But today the chime happened again. Does anyone know what it could possibly be? Today when it happened there were no cars in front of me, or behind me, and I was coasting downhill in neutral and approaching a stop light. I just want to figure it out and hopefully get it to stop.

I read through all 3 of those before posting, that's how i knew to try disabling all the tones/chimes associated with text alerts, blind spot monitoring etc. but the mystery chimes are still happening.

Any chance you slightly moved the gear shifter towards 1st gear while coasting? I had this chime occur a few times before I finally saw the message on the information center. If speed is too high to shift into 1st gear, you will get a chime and message on the information center. In my case I was inadvertently moving the shifter towards 1st gear which would initiate the chime, but since the movement was slight, not definitive, and momentary; I would not see the message as it goes away as soon as the shifter movement clears the sensor. Took me awhile to figure it out. Once I read about this warning I tested it by intentionally moving the shifter towards 1st while at highway speed; sure enough, that was the issue in my case. You mentioning about being in neutral and coasting was exactly when it was happening to me.

Thanks I will definitely test this theory out. I appreciate you sharing your experience.

Ok, update. It happened again twice on my commute to work this morning. I confirmed that it isn't warning me not to shift into first gear (that is a very subtle single ding from the dash). The chimes I'm hearing are loud throughout the whole cab and come in 6 rapid beeps in two groups of three (beep beep beep ... beep beep beep).

Both times it happened I was approaching an intersection. The first was actually the same place it happened to me yesterday, no cars in front or behind me as I was approaching a green light in neutral. The second time it happened I was slowly approaching a red light with 5 or 6 cars stopped ahead of me while applying the brakes.

Do you have FCW?
I'm not sure. I do have the "active safety" package that includes the blindspot monitoring etc. But i don't know if that means I also have forward collision warning or automatic braking. I didn't see it in the uconnect menu with the rest of the safety features. If it is FCW, it is going off with no cars in front of me and nothing to warn me of, which is frustrating,

If you have ACC/FCW, there is a box sitting against the windshield behind the rear view mirror.
