I wonder since the 2022 are going to production in November, if I will get my Sport S before then.
I ordered it on 6/26 and it's been 9 weeks and still in D status. There are a lot of people on this feed that are getting their orders before me that placed them in July and August. Not sure now if I should just cancel my order and go with something else or keep waiting. If I wait long enough, I should get a 2022.

It definitely seems as if Jeep is prioritizing high level trims over the lower ones. Soooo basically prioritizing richer people over less fortunate. I wonder how that would fly on their Facebook or Twitter feeds. ?

My Willys with hardtop and auto as the only options is definitely a poverty spec and I ordered 7/19 with it arriving at the dealer 8/25

I wonder if your dealer has an allocation issue? When I was picking my truck up, the salesperson said it came on a truck with two other gladiators, one sport and one sport s. It might be faster for you to make a new order at a different dealer

I ordered a Rubicon on 8/26. At the time of ordering, my dealer said to check in with them in two weeks to get a status update. Is there any other way to obtain your Vin than through your dealer? I see most people are getting their Vins within a few days of ordering

Well I’m not sure what the issue is. I’m glad you got your poverty spec in good time ? but if you look at the build sheets, the higher trims are flying thru in fast speeds, while others with lower trims are waiting forever. I’m only at the beginning of my wait, so I don’t have a gripe yet, but it seems unfair, and the squeaky wheel usually gets that oil. Letting Jeep know people are seeing this, whether accurate or not, might make them behave more fairly.

if you have your order sheet, it has the VON on it. Contact Jeep Chat and ask them to give you the VIN using the VON and a status update on what stage of the build process its in

Sorry, but that’s ridiculous. First off, Jeep hasn’t promised anyone anything nor are they prioritizing rich people. Albeit unfair, FCA has share holders to appease and with the way the world is they’re focused on making as much money as they can with what they have. It’s just business.

If you had a business and you could only sell 1000 items at 50K or 500 items at 50K and 500 items at 35K you’re taking the 50K every time.

And they never reject lower spec builds, it just takes a bit longer. So what if it's a few more weeks for your poverty spec build, if the company makes more profit on the loaded Mojaves and Rubis then it's completely normal and expected for them to do so.

I also think choice of dealer matters as well. The higher volume shops like Gupton seem to have much quicker turnaround as I think the auto manufacturers also give priority to the dealerships that get them the most sold orders.

Exactly and unfortunately life isn’t fair. Business is business. I agree on the allocation thing, I think certain dealers probably do get some priority there. Again, if you’re FCA and certain dealers are cranking out some orders consistently are you going to prioritize a smaller dealer with 1 order? Again, business.

My dealer promised a 4-6 week delivery. In my world and civil law, that IS a promise. but if you can look at people on here who are waiting since June, (there is more than one, and I’m not one of them) and think that is fair while others go zipping out the door I’m sure I wouldn’t frequent your business. Whatever happened to first come first served? Do those lower spec models get built before the 2022 builds go thru, or were these ppl wasting their time and money? At least one person just asked that question. The “so what if your poverty spec” takes more time isn’t how they feel, I’m sure.

If it’s expected in “business” then when the “masses” know how they run their business, how many people would still consider doing business with them? Not sure it would be as many. I’d like to think Americans would prefer to play fair. First in first out, no matter the level of trim.

Your dealers an idiot for promising anything. What happened to first come first serve? COVID, business, investors and profit. Things change when things change, businesses either adapt or lose money. I mean by all means you can go cry about it on Facebook but it won’t be remembered in 2 days let alone make any lasting impact. Especially when all automakers are prioritizing higher level builds to increase profit.
