Pretty sure that is a generic way of saying that it’s done we just can’t get it sent out right away. To keep the masses from getting mad about it not being sent right out. It means it’s sitting on a lot waiting on a truck or train.Mine says that too fwiw
I dont know what kind of shipping company they use. Mine was put on a train 3 weeks ago. Dealer said they cannot go get them anymore. All shipping is controlled by Jeep. It is sitting in a rail yard 90 miles awayYup. Three weeks going on four where my JT was approved for shipping and still sitting in the rail yard in Toledo.
Vibrating.
My dealer said that mine is waiting for shipping. Also said that he has 4 other JL/JT's either done and or being built. That when they have enough vehicles going in one area. That's when they will ship. I'm south of Pittsburgh. Figure they will railcar to Buffalo. Then truck from there. When I ordered my Power Wagon. It was railcared from Mexico to Dallas, St Luis, then to Buffalo.Ugh I wonder what the delay is. JC said it's cause they're waiting for a full load before they ship out, but for some reason I'm starting to doubt what they told me
I work in electronics manufacturing and I can tell you this is 100% because Jeep got a sweetheart deal on shipping from somewhere to improve their profit margin 0.1%. I know this because my company does the exact thing.I dont know what kind of shipping company they use. Mine was put on a train 3 weeks ago. Dealer said they cannot go get them anymore. So then what does the mandatory $1500+ "shipping" fee that they violate us for pay for? Certainly not consistency or punctuality ?I work in electronics manufacturing and I can tell you this is 100% because Jeep got a sweetheart deal on shipping from somewhere to improve their profit margin 0.1%. Customers will wait, what other choice do they have? I hate having to be the one that gets the shovel to the face from an irate customer when our shipments are delayed. It is why I don't fault the dealer nor do I pressure them.
Jeep invoices the dealer on completion of the vehicle with typically net 30 terms. The dealer is just as incentivized to get the Jeep shipped as we are so they don't have to float the cost. This is 100% corporate greed. I live it every single day.
It’s the same thing as Ticketmaster’s “Convenience fee”. It is just a way to drive revenue and profit by not being transparent to the consumer. So then what does the mandatory $1500+ "shipping" fee that they violate us for pay for? Certainly not consistency or punctuality ?

There Is real good thread on here and one over on Mustang Mach e Forum with discussions around subscription services in cars. For instance, BMW wanted to charge a monthly fee of $4.99 to use Android Auto or Apple Car Play. Apple pitched a fit and said they would pull support from BMW so it didn’t happen.
All Brands are going the subscription model. Notice I didn’t say manufacturers. I see the long play in business that there will be ”Brands” like Apple or even Jeep where they will market and sell where an OEM will do the actual manufacturing.
Consumers are uneducated in the market/product, lazy, or just don’t care (Myself included) so it keeps happening. I wanted a Jeep and I was willing to accept their business practices.
I will not go into the subscription model though. I want to own what I pay for. Heck, I still buy BluRay for movies and shows I like. I want the physical media.
Ask yourself this question, why is it when all you hear about is labor shortages and inflation at a time when corporate profit is up 70%? Trends like charging a shipping fee and going with a subcontractor for shipping that provides less than stellar service, but at stupid low costs are the reason why. It likely won’t change either. You can’t put toothpaste back in a tube.
I know this rant sounds political but it is not. It is an opinion from someone who lives in this world every day. Someone who is buying a Jeep Gladiator as his last truck hopefully and can retire to get away from it.
Yea, sorry about that. I went on a little bit of a rant.Fuggin A
Run from that dealership if they want to charge you an additional delivery charge.Hi all. Placed my order on 02/05 for a Sport S with the max tow package. Was told today that the truck is built but they don't have a ship date yet. What kind of delivery charges have people been looking at? Mine has a Destination Fee from jeep which I understand but then also has a 599$ "Delivery and Handling Charge" from the dealer on the order sheet. Has anybody else experienced this double delivery charge? I get the destination charge but...
Very excited regardless, dealership told me 10-14 weeks and the fact that it is built in just under 3 has me stoked.
How do I proceed to get information after I registered my VIN? I just keeps telling me it's already tracked.Track your JT Gladiator Wrangler by window sticker and build sheet lookup! Credit goes to sister-site JLWF moderator Yakpimp for this great tool.
