So I joined the “What are you sippin” thread over here today. Didn’t know it existed, always played along in the Bourbon thread over at JL.
So anyway, I busted the seal on some Devil’s Cut Jim Beam while ago and got about three fingers deep after a long day of ball bustin back breaking work around the house.
Outside since 630 this morning and it got up to 97*. No biggie, except I’m not acclimated to humidity yet after 28 years in 29 Palms. And the fact that my hot tub sits out in the sun. So my ass is hurting but starting to feel better after the Devil’s Cut. Go to get in the hot tub, it says 108*! I say fug it, well cuz of the liquor, and my back needs some relief.
It was quite exhilarating, almost hallucinogenic, as I was trippin balls that everyone that had ordered Gobi Gladiators after me had already taken possession of theirs.
Oh wait…

From the pizza delivery app it said shipped on June 1st. From my dealer it arrived in Utah on the 13th. So it’s still in Utah or somewhere between SLC and Boise. Patiently waiting.
I am truly glad though that others are getting to enjoy theirs. My day will come.

Hey hey everyone, ordered sport s w/ max tow through gupton on 3/19, finished on 5/24, est delivery was 6/15 now switched to tbd. Was seeing if anyone has a similar build through Gupton and had update. Gupton said they couldn’t find out and Jeep chat is basically useless. I’m a reasonable and pt guy. The reason I’m asking here is because ol Betsy, my daily driver is a spiteful beast and knows she’s on her way out and is taking every opportunity to take a dump. I’m trying to get some solid info before she nickel and dimes me to death. Thanks in advance!

Dude, I picked up on June 4 and on that day and prior one of the mgrs told me how downstream they (the dealership) are from real time information. For instance, he told me about a wrangler that has been sitting at the rail yard for a couple months and they can‘t get any information on it from anyone including their rep. He had even speculated that it was damaged in transit and they were awaiting repair parts, but that’s pure conjecture. So, I completely understand the position you’re in, but the more detached you can try to be the better it is for your sanity. If it would help, once mine was being shipped I asked for a weekly update of the progress and tried to keep my focus on that.

Definitely better for your sanity to just let it play out and not check Jeep Chat, Cryptostickers, the pizza delivery app, or any other means, several times daily. It’ll just frustrate you more.
Plus not checking all of those gives you more time to find googahs and doodads.

So...shipping is TBD, but it got delivered. Makes perfect sense. Congrats anyway!

My dealer said mine was offloaded from the train in San Antonio on Monday. Still waiting to have a truck bring it back up the road to Austin...grrr....

She made it! First impressions, gobi is just something else. The difference maker though is that diesel. Holy shit balls. It is so quick, and so smooth. It just pulls you back in a non jerky, very, very quick acceleration. Night and day from my 3.6. I'll get some highway miles tomorrow but the delivery guy was 8 hours late because of a breakdown and I just took it around the neighborhood for a couple of minutes. I'm super psyched.

This is exactly how I feel! Or they will park it out back and contact me in December.
