Unless I wrote something that I don't remember, I never said I would have less payments. I fully expect my payments to be higher. Just without the extra fees that come with some of those extra coverages I purchased the first time around, the difference might not be so much. AND not sure why people are saying I'm going to take a bath on selling or trading in my truck.

You might do ok, if you bought your overland with employee discount and the resale remains high it might not be a big jump unless you are really looking at a highly optioned rubicon.

Also, dumping upgrades into a lower model doesn't always make the best financial sense as the resale is also a big factor (overland with 5k in upgrades is still an overland to a dealer, rubicon is a rubicon an likely starts out at a significantly higher trade in value).

I say you can give it a try and see

You right!

Just tired of seeing the same thing posted over and over why the 4xe is shit, or why the diesel is shit, or why the Pentastar is shit, or noobs posting the same questions without taking three seconds to scan threads let alone use the search function.

I suppose I’m also overly sensitive because I’m growing tired of being cooped up in this house and the shit grey weather and no ability to travel. Plus my wife and dogs are getting on my nerves. Work shit, home shit; I need a vacation, dammit!

TMI. Probably a sign I should just take a break from the forum.

I'd be in for a 4ex myself within reason. But before I would make a jump I would have to do a cost assessment on it. Having a 50 plus mile drive to work and no recharge station to use at work. I have seen a few "home brew" EV vehicles that was doing fairly well for short range. A few was planning on use for delivery around towns. Heck if I had a garage /shop and time I might do one myself for local to my place traveling to store and like use. Benefits of quiet and no gas needed.
Now a Hemi would be great to drive too. It could be tuned for good MPG "if" done correctly besides having the power on tap. FYI I don't think the current axles are a weak link there as much as some act like. The axles under the JT's aren't the old days D44s, if use of "un"common sense was still a thing. AKA driving it like a "King of the Hammer's" vehicle and trying to break it. I guess that's a thing of us "old guys" not wanting to have to fix it after every trip. Heck I've been "Running a D30 and D44 rear in a over weight XJ for years with out snapping axles shafts and like. Why I have a fuze in it 1310 u-joints in drive shaft (s) a lot easier to find and fix.
