Good base model for a build up

This is a bit further down for me but I wanted to find out what the best cheapest base model to buy if you are going to buy a Gator Diesel and build it up with a PCOR back, upgraded suspension, wheels and tires? Any specific reasons and drivers for choosing a particular model?

I don't think it matters with the JT like it does with the JL. JTs all have Dana 44s front and back. JLs have D30s/D35s in all save Rubis.
