To the OP, I'm very happy on your purchase, I'm waiting for my Gladiator to come and it's hard to contain my excitement.

However, I think it's right for the others to point out that his deal is not a steal if it was purchased at or above MSRP. It might be misleading for new and potential buyers to see this thread and then go to a dealer thinking that 1k above msrp is a "steal" when reality you can get % below invoice.

Isn’t the disconnect that he’s including the sales tax in his number? So if his out the door price was a little above sticker, then he got a pretty good deal if that includes 6% sales tax. I feel like the OP and subsequent posters are arguing past one another.

That's what I said. He did get way below MSRP but because of something out of his control he ended up having to pay extra. He got somewhere like 4000 under MSRP which is a good deal. It's not like the dealer gets a cut of that they legitimately reduced their price quite a bit.

Buying local, what I've heard here in AZ, it's grand larceny and OP should drive it like he stole it with a wide grin. I fully expect to go to Tricity or Idaho to get under invoice.

I got $4,032 below MSRP which was 3% off invoice. I had to custom order to get that pricing. Seems like OP did pretty well for buying off the lot.
