Why do you think it's more functional then a regular topper?

There is less internal storage space. There is also no way to mount anything on the roof of the topper...

Not trying to start an argument, but I'm curious as to why you think it's more functional?
So when ya open the back I built shelves also added Milwaukee pack out. I do a lot of outdoor stuff and more me it works. Especially I like the side doors to access tools or whatever. I know its definitely not for everyone however many Jeep guys have come up to me asking if they can look inside and where I bought it. So again understand not everyone will like it but it works for me its different. I also added the roof rack and my awnings on both sides. I dont drive this every day. I have several other vehicles to drive. This is just for the weekend when needed.

Well for starters, the hatch opens up like the front hood so its easier to load things in and out. And I think it gives it a cool Humvee look. But Im not a topper guy, I like an open pickup bed.

Most toppers in this kind of price range have opening sides so load in/out isn't really an issue.

The biggest lost of utility is space inside, and a close second to that is losing the ability to mount anything on the roof of the topper since as you pointed out: that needs to be able to open upwards. So even if you're not a RTT type, you still lose the ability to mount a kayak or bikes... unless you want to be required to take them off before gaining all that valuable extra loadability. With a load on top and the hatch shut, you're left with only the tailgate open which hurts loadability compared to other toppers.

It's a niche product and were i to take an absolutely wild and baseless guess, that niche is mostly interested in form over function.

Thank you sir. I'm surprised how much beefier and larger your tire looks compared to mine, even though both are measured at 32.8" in diameter.

Shhh...
I’ve always seem to come back the BFGs. I’ve rocked Nittos and a few others. But I seem to like the classics. Lol

Cybertruck vibes? I'm not sure about the look - I think I like it, but then... I don't know. But if you're happy, more power to you!
That's exactly what I was thinking. I was also thinking It would be nice if it could lift lift clam shell like so it was a standard topper
