Soooo I put a EVO rear track bar in. I was feeling a little skeptical after measuring for a rear offset. There just isn’t much of a correction needed. And getting an accurate measurement, Forget about it. after doing some trigonometry I settled on adding +1/4 inch. Which is reasonable given my best attempt at the axle offset measurement. This isn’t much. So I wasn’t expecting much of a geometry correction.

That being said, this is a big stiff track bar with good bushings. The original bar is thin and wimpy.

The test drive was a very pleasant surprise, which I’m going to attribute to the increased stiffness and improved bushings.

The rear is more composed. It tracks better over bumps. Less wiggle in the rear. It feels more solid. It was worth the $220!!!

I’d expect there would be an improvement on stock height vehicles too.

what part number did you use? I only see JL listed on their website vs a JT model
Thanks

The picture I posted above shows the track bar touching the bracket. Synergy said that the irregularities with Jeeps brackets are not their issue. Plenty of other posts on this topic regarding synergy.

I basically im going eat the cost of the track bar.

Way o life installed on an aftermarket front axle. So it’s apples n oranges

Using a grinder, ball joint press and some paint. I got the synergy track bar to fit. I think there is enough metal left to do the job.

The lift and tires look great. Did you install the Mopar lift kit yourself? How difficult was the installation? Who did the tire alignment afterwards? Did you have to switch rims for the width of the Toyo's? Sorry for all the questions. We've got your same truck but in red.

Looks like you made it work. I'm hoping not to run into the same issues you did with my synergy bar. We'll see how it goes when I get it installed. I'm 1" off to the drivers side in the front and the rear is spot on. Equal on both sides.
Good job making it fit!!!

This is my build thread. Thus most every question you’re asking is in it.

Read through all your posts. You don’t mention how easy or difficult the Mopar lift upgrade is to do. I’m guessing you’re a mechanic? Wheel alignments can be difficult. All the work you did looks like it was worth it because it looks awesome.

I’m not a mechanic. I’m a electrical engineer. This is easy stuff. It was fun. The process of turning wrenches was a good work out.

We have something in common. M.E. here. I’m looking forward to doing the Mopar lift along with wheel spacers, new rims and larger tires. Had a CJ-8 Scrambler that we never should have sold. The JT feels a lot like it but more capable. Thanks for documenting the work that you did. It’s very inspiring.

I’m pretty happy with the track bars. Once adjusted, I think it’s an improvement of highway manners. No more wiggle over undulations.

Your thread shows that it’s not the silver sport rims are ugly, it’s because the color and the design of the wheel. Also the wimpy stock tires don’t help.

It’s crazy how much better these things look w a lift and larger tires. Yours looks great, I might go with your wheels in black when I move up from my 34s. Thanks for the detail in your thread!

the depth and color on theses wheel looks really good in person. They are silver, carbon grey and a machined lip. Which doesn’t come through in photos. And the bright color makes the wheels look bigger to me.

The only thing I’d upgrade to is some Hutchison rock monsters if I put Dana 60s under it.

The best tip I can give on install is to get a good impact driver. This little dude saved me a bunch of time

Totally agree. When putting on my spacer lift and shocks, my dewalt impact cut my time in half and prevented many bloody knuckles!
