Just got my VIN from Renee, honestly 5 stars from me. They were really great.

Trivial question; does Gupton put your name on the window sticker- I've seen a few instances of that around the forums and I'm curious if these guys do that? I think its a nice touch for those that like that kind of thing.

Thanks!

I think Jeep does that, and from what I've seen here Gupton properly does the paperwork required for it.

Yes, the factory adds the name to the sticker and Gupton makes sure your name is in the right place in the system to have it show there.

Side note: my ONLY negative experience with Gupton (one I didn't put in my review a 100 pages back) is that as they were doing the PDI that they ripped the sticker and my name was cut in half. No biggie, and tape fixed it right up.

Hey @flipmode when did you place the order? I placed mine with Daniel (also 5 star) on Jan. 3… Sting-Gray JTRD.

On the 17th or 18th I ordered through gupton.. got a loaded 22 diesel rubicon gladiator in bright white. This will be my first real jeep. Pretty stoked.
Hey Austin, congrats on the order. I'm also Colorado-based and planning the Gupton - CO road trip. Ordered @ Gupton on Jan.3... Sting-Gray JTRD. Hoping for an early March delivery. Looking forward to the Diesel on the Rocky Mountain way! Have you received the VIN and seen any progress on your build?

I wonder if this is worth it. Anyone having any luck with Autonation Jeep West? I haven’t even talked pricing with them. At least I have family in KC to break such a trip into 2 days. Also how does Gupton do on trades?

Hey Rich...I've read in these forums that Gupton isn't all that great on trades but I don't have firsthand experience.

My purchase experience is... visited about 4 local dealers...to test drive Gas vs. Diesel..Willys vs. Rubicon, colors, options, etc. Was ready to pull the trigger on a Willys, not quite the full spec. I wanted due to the limit I set ($55k). Then found this awesome forum and learned about Tread Lightly, volume dealers, and the consistently high quality of experiences with Gupton.

Those local dealers were trying to close the deal...but none would budge beyond the Tread Lightly discount. So I ended up ordering a Rubicon with more options than I thought would be within budget, at about the same price as I was going to pay for the less spec'd out Willys at a local dealer. Saved about $7,500 off the Rubicon MSRP... (figured that might be about 1 year worth of depreciation) Either way...that's well worth a flight and road trip to me, all part the adventure of Jeep ownership ;)

Yeah no one in my area wanted to play ball either. I had one dealer try to tell me he wasn't allowed to even show me the invoice price. Gupton is saving me a boatload.

I ordered a bunch or Mopar stuff with my Gladiator through Gupton (headliner, sills, tonneau cover, bedliner). They also accommodated my request to move up to 35’s right off the bat. The service guy (Matt) was super helpful. I think they are pretty busy so it’s hard for them to get a lot done, but I was really happy with everything they did for me.
What did you do with the old tires and/or wheels? Did they buy them or did you bring them home with you?

Yes indeed and like a boat I will likely justify spending all of that saved money ASAP on upgrades  !

We are in the same boat. I was going to settle for a Willys locally here in Texas but found this forum and this thread, ordered the Rubicon I really wanted from Daniel (also on 1/3). Good to know I’m not the only one anxious for a VIN….

Nice one Trevor! At this rate, we might have a westbound convoy of JT's departing Springfield Tenn...?
I'll let you know when I get the VIN.
