New 2023 JTD Willys. Love the diesel, hate the headlights. From the threads here it seems I am not alone. It also seems replacing with LEDs is a common option, but seems pretty expensive. Has anyone have experience replacing their Halogen bulbs with something brighter they would recommend? Thanks.

I replaced mine with the Sylvania LEDs from Auto Zone. Good cutoff and nice even light. I have not had any other cars “ high beam” me either.

I have BeamTech LED's in my halogen headlights. Cut off is fine. Beam is fine. Doesn't seem to bother other drivers. I adjusted the headlights after I put the bulbs in. Wasn't paying several hundred dollars for aftermarket LED's. Some folks opinions will vary. Use a quality bulb with an emitter position that mimics the original incandescent.

If you get snow and ice it may be worth keeping the halogens and adding supplemental LED lighting such as bumper driving lights.

I ran a set of LED bulbs in my halogen housings for about a year and a half until I could upgrade to Diode Dynamics Elite LED Headlights. The bulbs were a huge improvement over the halogen bulbs. Mine came from Amazon but the bulbs I bought are no longer available. I'll add a couple of pictures showing the cutoff. Mine were made by a company called Firehawk and these are the closest available: https://www.amazon.com/Firehawk-Bri...T2F9/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1

I replaced my halogens with LEDs I sourced on Amazon. I had previous success with the brand (SEALIGHT) on my RV, so for under $60 for both headlights and fog lights I had little to loose. I am 100% happy with the result. As mentioned above, you want the replacement dual filament bulbs to have the illumination point be as close to the original location as possible. The SEALIGHT 9008 bulbs I used required no adjustments after installation - they fit perfectly.

Driver side is before / passenger side is after. I measures the lumens, and it was as bright as advertised. Real world experience was like 'night and day'. (Sorry, I had to go there ;-)
