Our snow hasn't really shown up yet, but the cold arrived in Montana with a night time temp in Bozeman at -40F (that's not windchill ?). JT started like a champ in -25F in West Yellowstone last weekend!

Yeah this winter has been interesting. So far only 3" of fluff from a storm that everyone swore was going to dump more than 2 feet.

I shoulda been a weather man. 6 figure salary to be wrong 75% of the time

A week after the last big one........

My wife drove us to church in her Jeep today so I took a couple pics. I missed the big drift I had wanted to get. Not sure how they cut through it but as I looked out the window of the Jeep I could see the top of the drift was as high as the top of her Jeep.

We had another 4" and strong winds on Thursday, just as we were recovering after the 2nd 7 or 8" with winds.

Ive never owned a smaller truck, and ive been happy that it goes in the snow like a bandit. Sometimes just 2wd until i gotta pull it into 4H. But its saved us here on the ridge, its the only thing i could get off the mtn road with, except for the 4wd Kubota. So theres that

With the weight of the plow up front and the ballast in the back to balance it out, mine rides like a car (it always rides nice, though, for a truck/Jeep) and it's almost unstoppable.
I just plowed the path to my shop out back (again, third time) and the snow had drifted across, was hard and heavy and I had rear wheel hop but it kept moving. I never had to get it out of a jam. Even up a fair grade, it just kept going.
It's pretty impressive, really. Going up my driveway with plow down pushing a huge mountain of snow that was flopping up over the front of the hood - it only finally stopped moving when it was just too much weight for it. Backed up a bit, moved over a little to take only 3/4 of the pile, and kept on going.

Jeep has it right for snow. Even the WK2 beat Land Rover for snow. (I think it was Land Rover, have to look at the videos again)

We saw a fellow stuck in the median coming home from church last night - his SUV was tire deep. As we drove buy my wife asked if we had anything to pull him out with...........
I'm going to order some straps and something for the hitch on the back, enough stuff so we could use hers JLUR to pull someone out, and to have just in case she was out and had an emergency, she'd have the stuff someone could use to get her pulled out.
There's no way that fellow had any chains or straps and we had nothing at all with us. We will, next time. (there was a hose nearby so we weren't concerned of him being stranded for long)

I picked a good time to go on vacation. When we get back. It's supposed to be in the 50's with rain. Maybe I luck out out and don't have to shovel. Just have to worry about flooding.

Not much snow but colder than a land lord’s heart!
My second Gladiator, “Green Flash”, reminds me of the ten years of sunsets I saw in Hawaii.
