HF has a sale ending today on Jacks and Jack Stands. Wasn’t sure where to post this but I’m always looking for deals like this on Jack stands if I can find em. The 6 and 12k stands are absolutely awesome for doing suspension work. Very sturdy for the price paid during a sale.

If used properly and within their limits, the stands are okay. Can’t say that I own any but I have used some cheap Jack stands that were just fine (used on level solid concrete). They are inanimate chunks of steel. That being said, I have $400 OTC jack stands for big equipment.
I do use their Daytona low profile, long reach 3 ton jack. It works just fine. My mechanic has even grabbed it and jacked up 4500 series trucks and buses.
I actually grabbed one of these on sale as a gift for someone.

The HF jack stand recall was like 6 years ago and it was for their "Pittsburgh" line. The Daytona branded ones are sorted and fine.

Off-road is a bit of a misnomer.

They are simply taller stands with wider bases intended for higher vehicles (like offroad vehicles), but very much intended to be used on solid and level surfaces.

But as @AmishMike alluded, that 'offroad' will be all it takes for someone to prop up their Earthroamer on a dirt road and get crushed under it, lol.

Edit: Yeesh they used the phrase 'flat terrain' and 'uneven terrain' on that thing.

Welp forget whatever logic I tried to apply...

Yeah I just looked. Have the Daytonas with the locking pin on them. I’d hope that someone needing to use jackstands off road knows to get the vehicle to a fairly flat spot before doing what needs to be done. I’m working on having confidence in the human race.

I picked up a set of the Daytona 6 ton stands. The lady asked if I wanted to by the 1 or 2 year warranty package. I told her if they fail, I'll likely be dead and won't be interested in returning them....

HF fan here and just spent quite a bit of time using the 6ton Daytona stands (albeit with a backup stand or jack for safety). I will say the new "off-road" stands look interesting as the overall bulk or footprint of them would've been helpful during my last install for placement/clearance. The price however, even with a 35% sale or 25% coupon doesn't seem worth it....

Exactly. Could have just picked up an extra set of the 6ks and been good to go. I think I’ve needed or could have used Jack stand a total of 3 times off-road? And then it would have been convenient and not really a need. 1 axle shaft replacement, 1 axle tube patch weld, 1 starter assembly replacement. Anything else didn’t really need it. None of those mentioned were for my vehicle.
