Hard top hardware removal

Can anybody tell me what tools I need To remove the mounting hardware for the hard top. I am meeting another Glady to swap tops. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row and make sure everything goes smoothly.

Nothing more than the T50 Torx bit that comes in your Jeep tool kit. A small cordless driver will speed things up significantly, but you can do it all with the ratchet Jeep provides too.

There are two bolts up on the sport bar, and 6 (I think) around the base and back. Easy peasy.

What holds the brackets on for the freedom panels

I'm not sure I know what you mean, but the two L-shaped brackets that you turn to unlock the freedom panels just stay on the panels. The front metal latch just grabs onto a loop on the front part of the roll bar. You wouldn't remove those though - your new top will almost certainly use those to close unless it's something unusual.

What top are you trading for?

The L shaped Brackets stay on the freedom panels. They do not come off or need any tool to manipulate. The T50 bit and a ratchet is all you will need.

I understand that they don't come off the panel but what do they attach to something on the Jeep, each other? Again please forgive my ignorance.

The L brackets are bolted to the freedom top and they allow them to swivel. There should be brackets already attached onto the jeep so the freedom tops are a set and pull on the handles. If you have more questions google hard top removal for gladiator and watch a YouTube video

He's asking what the L brackets latch too. I don't know without going home and looking. The back ones latch to the hardtop I think, the front one I can't recall. These:

If you buy a soft top from the factory it don't come with those brackets I wanna know what I need to take those brackets off the Jeep I'm getting the hard top from
