Hard top rattles from speakers

Is anyone else having thier hard top rattle when you turn up the bass in the stereo? I have the 7inch and stock stereo, it rattles like crazy when playing anything with bass. I'm one week into the jeep? is this normal?- My JKU had no issues with rattles with the Alpine system.

I have the same issue. Seems to be that the sound bar isn't put together very tightly. I haven't had time to look into it. I would suspect some sound deadening would resolve this.

Are you sure its the sound bar? I had a JL and seemed the same, but was from the visor.

Definitely the soundbar. I have put my hand over the area where the top and bottom piece meet and the rattling stops.

if i push up on the hardtop above my head the rattle stops- its interesting in the JKU you had the screws that held that top tight, on the JLU and JY theres no screws and it seems to be pretty loose.

I put a piece of foam between the bar and the top and it stopped the rattle, it wont work with the freedom panels off, but i am thinking maybe one of the locking levers on the top may not be tight enough. I was hoping it was just my Rig- and that i could take it in and get it fixed.

I know this is an old post but I have the same issue, did you find any other sort of fix other than a piece of foam?

Unfortunately no- I have had the soft top on since the beginning of May, so I haven't put much effort into finding another solution. I am sure when I put the hard top back on next month it's really going to bug me again. I am surprised that more people don't have this issue.

I have the 8.4 Uconnect and the Alpine sound system. The thump makes my head hurt and I had to turn the bass way down on day 1. The sound is great with no rattles.

Tried filling the inside of the sound bar with poly fill today, not sure if it did the trick yet but it can‘t hurt. I have a sneaking suspicion that it might be the plastic grills that cover the speakers. If it is still doing it I’ll try taking those off and leaving them off for a bit to see if it goes away.

I also think that its the grills. Did the poly fill work?

The poly fill seemed to do it, I haven’t noticed it since.

I found my rattle when back window is open and bass it up it rattles bad. Anyone know a fix?
