If the corrosion returns you might have a slight crack in the top of your battery case, this happened to me and the corrosion kept returning.....it turns out I had to replace the battery due to a slight crack on the top of the battery case (barely visible) that allowed battery vapors to escape and repeatedly caused corrosion on one of my battery terminals. Ended up having to replace the battery and the affected battery cable due to it being deteriorated too much.
Exactly. Hope that battery is the correct type - an AGM.......... they are not free-vented. You just don't see that sort of thing with AGM batteries. I've never had a Jeep battery terminal corrode at all.

In fact......these terminals on my car battery have not been cleaned in over 6 years -

No-Ox is great stuff. It's a requirement for all crimp on lugs for Comcast/At&t facilities.
Started using it as a maintenance electrician years ago.

While not normally vented, a crack in the case of an AGM battery can cause some off-gassing although at a much smaller amount than a regular lead acid battery.

Yes, and it would be worse since the AGM does not have an open vent..... sending any fumes or fluid out the crack. That's my point.
Been in auto-electric for decades ....

Yeah, I need to remember where I stashed it at. I've had a tube / tub of it for years.

It would cause abnormal fluid loss. Bad bad bad
Yeah that was in the spirit of being facetious. If an AGM cracks it’s time for a new battery and an in depth thought on how the heck did you manage to crack it. I’ve personally never seen one crack.

I figured your "mod" would be due to jeep impact with a bit rock.....not a drill
Some nods aren't on purpose!
