'24 and up Gladiator with windshield antenna. Has anyone installed a standard AM/FM whip style antenna?
If so, any insight to your install would be sincerely appreciated.

Getting really poor reception with this new Windshield antenna in a '25 Gladiator. The OEM whip antenna on my old JK had great reception. Hoping someone has already done this mod, so I don't have to "recreate the wheel".
TIA,

I’d like to know the answer to that myself. I thought the antenna was in the windshield but the guy at the glass place says its inside the dash. I’ll continue to listen to AM 680 and a USB stick with and enough music to cross the country 20 times

Fairly certain he is wrong. The antenna is the gold strip in the windshield, passenger side top. It has a connector to the right of the cruise control radar tucked tight against the top.

I listen to the radio some but I have a stubby antenna on my truck - so my signal is probably as good as the newer windshield mount at this point.

I ain’t chasing it too hard. They told me the gold thing was a heating element to keep the camera clear or whatever.
