G'Day. I was wondering if anyone has one of the Hauk River Raider Snorkel. I know Hauk went out of business about 10 months ago. Just curious how many of the River Raider Snorkels are out there?

Curious also. I was about to import three to Germany when they went under. Sad day, I have not found similar ideas or designs...
Was always worried about airflow though. I mean every engine wants a certain amount of air...

I have one and probably have put 30k miles on my Gladiator since installing the snorkel. I have never experienced any loss of power due air restrictions.

I found exact replacement filters on Amazon made by KN filter. I bought 2 so I always have a clean one available.

I have one, mainly because it was the only snorkel option for the diesel up until here recently.

I've got one. It's too bad they screwed so many people over. I kept recommending them and people were getting mad about it. But I love the snorkel itself, well thought out and a good design. No gimmicky plastic extruding beyond the body. It was designed by someone who actually offroads down skinny trails. Very happy with mine.

I wanted one for my diesel but unfortunately missed out before they went under. The new stuff just looks so damn ugly to me.

I stumbled on a few pictures under your hood in a different thread. Had no idea they made this for the diesel due to the opposite air intake location to normal motor. Did you modify the kit? Would you mind posting up some photo's under your hood? Been test fitting some pipes to see if I can make something work on the driver side but am curious how yours ties together. Do you still like it? Any noticeable changes in throttle response or sound? (good or bad)

I did not modify the kit at all. I liked the setup because of the low profile outside of the hood, the super tall snorkels going up the a-pillar are just not my thing but I wanted to protect the motor in case of high water crossings. I am not a huge fan of it crossing over the engine bay because of all the room it takes up under the hood, but it is fairly easy to dissassemble to get out of the way when needed. I did not notice any change in throttle response. It still retains the same air filter setup, so I did not expect a positive change and was happy to see no negative change.

The Kit is several parts:
New bottom of the air box holding the filter
New bracket for the coolant reservoir to move it out of the way
New box for under the cowl that the mushroom attaches to
2 oval shaped steel pipes
3 rubber elbows to connect everything w/ hose clamps

The upper pipe is attached along the cowl with an existing bolt.

Appreciate the pictures! So did that kit replace the bottom half of the airbox for the pipe to tie into? Wish I could snag that piece as I think I could fit a pipe along the driverside hood edge right up on the drivers cowling to drill through. Same concept but opposite side than the standard 3.6 snorkel kit. I don't like the aev ones nor the rugged ridge, always had a soft spot for the more subtle hummer style snorkels with an extension if you ever needed it. Your jeep looks good on the exterior.

Yup, the entire bottom half is new with the kit to allow for the new intake piping. If this had not been available I was looking to go down the path of the 392 hood with the hydroglide system in it. The intakes are on the same side, so there should be some way to adapt them together, but at a much higher cost obviously.

Thanks for the compliment!
