2011 JKU Sahara is my only Jeep so can’t compare others but living out in the middle of the Mojave where it’s always windy I noticed my hood was always fluttering. It was so bad that while driving westward I was always in the mirrors and making sure I had clear passage to the shoulder for when the hood launched up and pinned against the windshield.
Put a set of JL latches on (same ones on the Gladiator) and haven’t seen it move at all since. Stress free driving since.
Can’t wait to experience some Gladiator problems!

Apparently I’m the only one so far with a gladiator that has had this issue. I’m about to be at 6k miles myself all highway 70+ mph everyday to work and back. I’ve noticed it for awhile and thought I was just seeing things till I confirmed with my gf The hood was moving while at 70mph on freeway. I removed spring from hood and doesn’t do it anymore
My 2025 rubicon hood moves a bit up and down i noticed today while on a trip. Doing interstate speeds between 70 and 85 and Id see it move at times. Kind of annoying.

I just noticed this on my '25 Mojave when going over 70mph. Removing the hood spring is the fix for this?

I currently drive a TJ. If you really want to see one hop around at 80 give me a call and I'll take you for a ride.

I know not helpful but true.
I was thinking that myself.

Had this issue on my 2011 Wrangler JKU, removed the spring under the hood and never had an isue again. I've not had it on my Gladiator but I've also switched to a set of Rugged Ridge Looking Hood Catches.

I’ve noticed once I’m up around 70-75 mph my hood moves up and down with wind. Is there a fix ? Anyone else have this?

The 20 year old hood latches on our LJ any time a semi truck passes in the oncoming lane:

My JTR did until I switched to locking hood latches but the 23 diesel doesn’t with stock latches. Driving in to a 20mph head wind today it didn’t move

Anyone try adjusting the OEM latch to add a bit more tension they are a bit of an exercise in over designing something that could have been simple. I know it worked for me on my TJ, the TJ latches have a little tab that the hood rides against the only issue was not creating to much clamping force.

I didn’t try adjusting the standard latches. With the locking latches I used on the first JT, there was about 1/8” of play and that was enough to adjust tension.
