Hi all,
Took my 20 JTR into the dealer a few months ago for warranty work. I got it home and reinstalled my Tazer.
Ever since then I feel like my headlights never shut off day or night. During the day I have to flip the internal switch to on to see the radio and at night I have to flip it to auto to get it to dim down.
Is this a Tazer issue or something else? I've gone through the Tazer and Radio settings multiple times and can not seem to find the correct settings to make the "auto" settings to work properly. Also the headlight light on the dash never shuts off.
Unfortunately Tazer does not have live support so that leaves me with endless emails to get assistance from them.
Before you ask NO I have not unmarried my Tazer to see if it goes away. I would rather not go through that hassle yet.
Thanks I. Advance!!

Looks like there's something on top of the sensor, on your dash. Is the little dark translucent plastic globe thing covered? It's about the size of a small marble.

That's my Cubs batting helmet!!! It's not covering the sensor. It has been there for 3 Jeeps now.
I've actually had my flash light pointing directly at the sensor and the headlights still don't shut off.

I vote for the Divorse…but would update the tazer with any patches before the reconciliation.

How long did you hold the flashlight on the sensor? It doesn't switch immediately, there is a significant delay.

Honestly there are only two options I can see here. Bad sensor or the Tazer is causing a problem. Unmarry the Tazer, that's the easiest first step. We can't just ignore that and keep troubleshooting.

Oh, and it's worth noting that this light you show here is not the headlight indicator. That's the parking lamps indicator.
Well according to this Jeep published owners manual it IS the headlight indicator light.

Anyway, agreed removing the Tazer would eliminate that question. I was hoping someone could tell me if there was a setting in the Tazer that keeps the lights in a always on state.

No, but you can always reach out to zautomotive. So turning the lights to off, doesn't help?

Yeah it shuts the lights off and the problem is solved until I turn it back to auto.
I unmarried the Tazer today and the lights worked like they are supposed to. Now to figure out the Tazer settings

Interesting, I assumed my sensor was bad, as I've the same issue - and a Tazer. Started after the last dealer visit, as well!

Well VERY good information, thanks! I've got to update to get the trail turn anyway, unmarry song and dance is a drag but it is so worth it for the Tazer features overall.

Did this come back? I have the same issue with my Tazer right now.
