The forward collision isn't in the safety group, it's in the advanced, and I don't mean to argue, maybe I don't understand what you said, but i dont believe the buyer can select what parts of a group to include or not.....
What I was getting at was the safety group is automatically included when you add the Forward collision package, but you can get the safety group separate without adding the forward collision if that makes sense.
There is only 1 safety group. As I said before. When you add collision it automatically comes with safety group not the other way around.
The advanced group is an add-on to the standard safety group. It's not a replacement. If you want ACC, brake-assist, blind spot monitoring, and park assist, you need to buy both.
No, what you said is that the AJ1 package is included in the ALP package. It is not. They are two separate packages. The AJ1 is a prerequisite for the ALP though. Still 2 different things, and you need to buy both. Therefore, there are 2 safety groups, not 1.
Yeah you're all good. I was replying to Mball, not you. I know you've got it figured out.i know its not a replacement for, never said that it was.... it's a 2nd safety group, and when you order it's called Advanced safety group and that how the dealer looks it up to see what's included...
You probably did that through the overseas sales program. I used it way back in 1994 to buy a Ford Aerostar. Big friggin mistake as it came to me from Germany and ti was a wrecked (i found out later) vehicle. They sold junk then and they probably sell junk now. From that time, I will never ever buy Fords.
