I was towing my camper and all the sudden I started getting these issues popping up on my dash. I made it home, but the truck is acting really funny. See video for all the popups. As far as drivability, the transmission is acting funny as well as the brakes when coming to a stop. It feels like it is downshifting before it should and slowing the vehicle down and when you let off the brakes it feels like the brakes are sticking. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Your ABS, ESC, and the 4wd systems all tie together at the wheel speed sensors. I'd start with checking the wheel speed sensor wiring at each wheel.

*edit to add*
If you have a code reader or access to one, see what code(s) you have -- that should help narrow down things a bit.

I have the same intermittent issue that just started. Started after I did ball joints a month ago and only starts up after flexing out when wheeling. It absolutely appears to be related to the wheel speed sensor. When I mess with the wire for the WSS on drivers front it goes away. I will be going back in and checking it out.

Just fixed this on mine 3 days ago... it was the left rear wheel speed sensor ... if you can, get it from the dealer (it is significantly cheaper than a parts store ... mine was $13). Unfortunately, they are on national backorder (at least for the rear) so you will need to find one in stock.

Once you have the part, it is probably the easiest job that I've done on the jeep.

Before you buy anything or start doing anything, read the codes.

Not the warnings on the screen, but the actual fault codes.

These will lead you to the correct location.

Been chasing the same issue for over a year. Cleaned and inspected the front speed sensors (both had codes) It went away for a month, then I replaced the speed sensors, went away for a month or two. Replaced the harness from the drivers front speed sensor to firewall (had some fraying on the tape, wire looked ok). Again, problem went away for a couple months. Then replaced the canbus star connector and the problem went away for a few months, thought i had finally fixed it. But, now it's back. Same exact symptoms as OP.

I also did ball joints, but my intermittent issue started before that. I did the same, mess with wires, it goes away, but comes back. Replaced wires...replace sensors, replaced star connector. It always goes away, but eventually comes back.

I tried to scan it before with my ScanGauge II didn't pick up any codes, so I ran down to AutoZone and borrowed their scanner. It's the left front wheel sensor. Being that it is still within warranty, I drove down to the dealership and got on the schedule for Monday. Fingers crossed here.

Thank you to everyone for the feedback.

Yea AutoZone wanted $104.00 for it and it would take at least a week to get. Hopefully the dealership has them in stock.

Jscan was able to detect mine (if you have it handy). There was no obvious external defect on my wire.

Did they replace it under warranty? I am having the same issue but I am willing to fix it myself unless I can get it done under warranty.
