Yes, and to put it another way to be clear (as we keep seeing "oh, just use the left or right arrow to scroll, that will fix it")You just got lucky.... yes there are two fuel economy screens, one is detailed and one just has the meter. I found several other threads on this, its a common glitch that's seems not too common until it happens to you.
What it should look like

What it looks like with the current mileage missing

What it looks like when you arrow key left/right from the above screen

This is what I call screen #1 ->
Now if you use the left or right arrow buttons on the left of the steering wheel, this would take you to screen #2 ->
That just above is what screen #2 should look like with the "Current" to the lower right of the mpg scale and "Range" to the lower left of the mpg scale.
This is what that same screen - #2 - with NO INTERACTION from the driver, no using any buttons, magically changes to for some of us - SAME screen, but look at what happens ->
And if you use the left or right scroll buttons, you simply change back to this one ->
Usually, after a few days or weeks, it simply changes back so you have the "Current" mpg displayed at the lower right of the mpg scale/gauge/semi-circle as if nothing ever happened.
For those watching - this has nothing at all to do with any steering wheel buttons.
Scrolling left or right between the two screens does nothing - it takes you to the bare-bones mpg screen, or back to the changed, anomalous screen. It doesn't fix anything.
I often scroll UP about 3 pages to see voltage and other readings.
Mine was at that weird screen when I decided to scroll UP, and look at voltage, and various temperatures. I parked to go eat and left it at the voltage screen.
I came back out, started the truck, drove away and after a bit scrolled back down to the mpg screen - and NOT using left or right at all, it was magically back to how I expected it.
