The pigtails on these two lights got ripped off and I'm trying to open them up and solder in new wires. Removing the 4 screws wasnt enough so im assuming its glued. How can I get these open to replace the wires?

looks like the KC part is a second piece like a clam shell. it's likely they have use adhesive to hold the 2 pieces together. Try putting a heat gun to it and gently prying.

Not sure how it happened. They didnt cost me anything so I figured screwing with em for a few hours would be worth a try.

I was scared to death I'd melt the wires internally as I try to melt the adhesive, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Turns out the glue for the front lens melts pretty quick and comes off really easy. Not helpful though, there was nothing I could get at to service it.
Went back to heating the back and prying at it till it finally came loose. I dont know what adhesive they used but it did NOT want to give in.

It’s a metal housing right? Couldn’t you use the same stuff you take that thick sticker adhesive off with? Goo Gone or whatever it’s called.
