23 Mojave, been trying to work with the dealer 🙁 in locating a hardtop roof leak that's been going on since new. With a hard rain, waters leaking in above rear view mirror down onto uconnect etc. Dealer says nothing is wrong, they've looked at it multiple times. In most cases, the water does not leak in while sitting still, but pours in when the truck is moving. I've read everything on the forum and otherwise about a common issue with improper installation of freedom tops. I've been anal about making sure everything is seated properly, but no success. I can confidently say the tops are installed properly, seals all line up properly.

Yes, I've cleaned the seals, which never seem to be dirty, the truck is new.

Any help is appreciated!

Just logged back into the forum and saw your post. Do you think that the freedom top latches need to be tighten a little more ? Not sure about the adjustment myself. Maybe one is a little tighter than the other ? Best of luck and I do not think this just a jeep thing.

Your thought is the same as mine, I can't help but think it's a simple adjustment away from perfection. Nothing seems unusually loose or tight though, and alignment of the panels seems to be on point.. I work in auto assembly (corvettes 😁) and I'm very familiar with the fitting of panels.

Being under warranty, I've leaned on the dealer, but I'm not kidding It's been incredibly bad experiences with them and I'd almost do anything to stay out of there for anything else.

I installed a molle panel on the top portion of the inside of my gladiator that bolts to the front where the latches lock on. I had to loosen those to install it and they have quite a lot of play. Took a couple tries to get them to lock the roof down tight enough it wouldn't leak in the rain or car wash. I'd definitely try adjusting those.

Thanks for your input. Are you talking about adjusting the one cam style latch or the points where the corners latch? I've likely butchered those terms and ecplanations 🤣

It's the two tabs directly over the rear view mirror the top latches to. You'll need to pry the trim panel down and use a small torx head driver to adjust them down if I remember correctly. Lower they go the tighter they'll hold down the front of the tops.

I'll give it shot. Thanks!

Any update or fix? I'm having this exact issue with the exception that my sunrider is currently installed. It looks like it is sealing properly from my initial investigation.
