Searching; I Understand that the 8.4 in Premium sound system has the Telematics Module incorporated in the head unit. If this is correct HOW does one disconnect / disable this module; to stop reporting - sending to Stellantis data/info?

Have watched other videos on non premium and the module is located under dash by steering column and one can unplug the power source to STOP it from functioning.

I know Last resort is buy a Stinger or other after market sound system to remove the OEM Uconnect premium head unit.

I’m going to just unplug the antenna from the LTE port and cap it with a 50 ohm dummy load to prevent cellular communication

I think the best way to turn off the Telematics Module is unplugging it.
Your radio unit outsources it, on the Telematics Module both cell and gps have inputs and outputs indicating a loop through the radio/head unit.
It stopped tracking me, or the app doesn't show my location now.

That is true for sure, but from what I have read, there are multiple antenna connections on the telematics module, one for Cell (LTE), one for GPS, and one for SiriusXM. If you take the whole thing out, you lose NAV,, as it would not know where you are, as well as losing SiriusXM. I believe the GPS and SiriusX are receive only.

I have only seen 2 (cell)&(GPS)Sirius probably comes in through your cell antenna. This could easily be checked just unplug it and see if the feature goes away. You’re right as well depending on which feature you want to lose would determine which antenna you would unhook. I didn’t want either so I unplugged the whole box.

The photos I took were after the antenna disconnect. Still have SiriusXM, Nav, and offroad pages.
HOWEVER, but this is a big one, I still get a 4G signal when I am really close to a tower, but the signal is very weak, and I can't tell if anything can send out. I tried Wifi hotspot, and when it shows no signal, it definitely does NOT work, but when it shows a signal near a tower, it tries, but my phone says "no internet".
If anyone knows of a method to actually check for signal, I'd like to know.
I can't figure out how it can get a signal out with both antennas disconnected. Not sure if has a fallback to the other antennas i.e. gps or sirius...
I even took the head unit completely apart and disconnected the ribbon cable that goes to the sierra wireless modem, and when I put it back together, I lost SiriusXM, offroad pages, and about half of my icons. Reconnected the ribbon cable, put it back together, put it back in, and still had no SiriusXM, or offraod pages, or any of the missing icons. I panicked, thought I screwed the pooch, but hooked up Jscan, went to the body control module, and die a "reset all ecu's" and that fixed it back to wha I had, whew...
Still have the two antennas disconnected, but in a very strong signal area, can still get a weak 4G signal...
I really don't want to lose my offroad pages, I find the gage cluster pretty good, I leave it there most of the time. I just need to verify if it can not connect to the mothership

Update!

When I was near an area that had good signal, I would still get 4G, so, this is what I did: Disassembled Head unit, and completely removed the modem.

Thanks for posting really good info & pics... FYI - I discussed with my friend a Jeep Tech (fully factory trained and certified) who said "When in the shop and they connect up the diagnostic equip it downloads all from the PCM". The data goes to FCA/Stellantis at that time. I will most likely do the disconnect of the 2 wires at the head unit and get out the "tin foil helment" too. As you see I have 2 Mojave's and the 21 with the standard radio will be much easier than the 23.
