Yes, Oracle is indeed stepping up and getting me set with a solution.

I did not expect this, hence the reason I made this thread, but they're definitely going above and beyond what's required to help me out. I have nothing but thanks to JP for noticing and offering to help!

I just had something similar happen. The DRL lights on the driver’s side Oracle flush taillight just stopped working. Everything else works fine. I even plugged it into the passenger side plug and it works fine. I don’t know where to start???

I will also attest to Oracle's dedication to it's customers, at least in my experiences. I have had 2 issues with the passenger side taillight very similar to what the OP is having, and they have taken care of me both times without hesitation.

It's an issue with the board inside the taillight, itself. Reach out to Oracle, and see if it's covered under warranty. There should be a date code sticker on the back of the housing. I've had the same issue happen two times on different units. I have a new passenger side taillight on the way to me as we speak, actually.

If you say you switched the light to the other side, and it works fine over there, then the issue isn't with the light but something on the truck side. Testing the truck's output on that wire on the driver side should confirm that. You could also bench test the light to ensure it's working properly like it appears to be.

Maybe he meant that he took the good light and plugged it into the side that wasn't working properly, to verify that the power coming to that taillight was working?

I mean, if that's what he meant, then that's not what he said haha.
. . . the driver’s side Oracle flush taillight just stopped working. . . I even plugged it into the passenger side plug and it works fine . . .
Probably best for him to start a separate thread for troubleshooting.

I only plugged the one that wasn’t working into the other plug and it worked fine, I didn’t try vice versa

ok yep, definitely points to an issue somewhere other than the lights. If the problem doesn't go with the light when you switch it, then the light isn't the problem.

Any clue as to what would cause it? I’ve only had them installed 3 days

Something truck-side. Could be the plug, the wiring, could be the computer thinking it's a burnt out bulb and not sending it power. Going to need to test and start eliminating possibilities. I would start a new thread on it.

But paranoid to buy from any place because I don't want to get an old set with all of the bugs

Did you try cycling the power off, then back on between tests? I'm wondering if it's like the issue I had with my fog lights, where the computer would see a fault (in my case, a higher wattage bulbs), and cut power to that circuit?

Buy direct from Oracle then.

This is the only issue I've had with them with over a year of use. And honestly it's an issue that can happen to any electronic product.

I did not, I’ll try it today. It got really cold last night so troubleshooting ended quickly.
