The LP6 is by far the best light I´ve ever had. They are years old and look and perform like new. There is no corrosion or fading or anything after a good number of winters with a lot of road salt.

In terms of brightness, nothing like it compares. I have not seen the Road Shocks at night yet, but I´ll be really surprised if they compete, even given a handicap for being 2 LED´s short o the LP6.

I would have gone for LP6´s but I have 5 kids in college and can´t spend that kind of money at the moment. But the LP6 is definitely worth it. I´d do the LP4 on the Gladiator, to fit the mounting location properly. I will explain this when I post the pics. Otherwise, I would have bought the 6 LED version that is more comparable to the LP6.
I Almsot bought some BD LPs but I couldn't justify the price. I have BD squadron sports on my bumper and the work great! But I watched this video before I bought my edge 4 lights and I'm happy with them. Living I AZ they seem to be taking the heat and UV pretty good so far after Almsot 2 years. And I am definitely not complaining about the brightness or spread. Very happy especially considering the price difference between BD... BD makes great products but I'm balling on a budget. And, I'm onky going 15mph not 115mph lol

I've seen the DB LP6's vs my Road Shocks there defiantly brighter maybe 10%-20% it's noticeable but I paid less than half what the DB's cost ($129 vs $489) and can live with the difference. A year in and they are still going strong.

I lit up the Road Shocks (4 light version) and they were great. I have to adjust them. I agree, about 20% less light than the equivalent from BD, but my wallet is about 70% heavier after the purchase. Lol.

I like them. Great value. And the back light is brignter than the ones in the LP6. I like the look of that better.

What do you think about the build quality - fit of the parts, the case, lens that sort of thing?

I think for the money they are very good. Better than any light in that price range. I think 1 step below Rigid. They don´t look or feel cheap. The connectors are tight and should have no trouble keeping moisture out of them. There are a couple rivets that cheapen them a little bit. I saw what I thought was a slight scratch or gouge....it was a sliver of silver against the black finish. I looked closely and I was just seeing the edge of a metal (I think aluminum) rivet that was not painted. I chuckled, but overall, they seem to be very good quality.

They will get a test as to how they hold up to winter and road salt. After years of road salt, rain, sun, mud, and crud, my LP6 lights on the JL look as good as new. If I could spare the $$, no question I´d have gone with a Baja Designs equivalent, which would be an LP4 in my case.

Here is a pic with the back lights. They are as bright as they look here.

The reason I went with the 4 instead of the 6 is because the giant hooks on the Arcus bumper forced me to mount them to the outside. The 6 was tall enough to get a little bit in front of the headlight which I think would have caused a shadow. So the 4 was a better fit.

I´ll get some better brighter shots soon. I washed the truck last night, so it is parked until departure to Moab. I have to work 12 hours each day today and tomorrow, so I won´t have a good chance to get some good pics until Friday.

Btw, the cowling lights are off Amazon. I can´t remember the brand, but they are pretty good. But they´ll be replaced at some point by the spots on the bumper and the bumper will get two Roadshocks with flood low beams.

I have a smaller set of the HF Roadshock lights. They are about a year old and the powder coating looks new (Ive had other brands fade fast). I think they are really nice lights for the money.

I have the large 6 LED HF lights. Used factory Aux switch 1 for low beam, switch 2 for high beam via a 5pin relay. Your not supposed to power high and low simultaneously. The relay kills the low beam side when activated. My next step is to remove from switch 2 and tie to head light high beam. So I will activate low beam via aux switch then when Jeeps high beams are on the HF lights Highs are on. The backlight is tapped to a ignition hot wire, so if the Jeep is running the backlights are on.

The side shooting led's on these mitigate the need for ditch lights for me!

The 5pin relay is amazing, but to save a switch, I tapped the highs to the vehicle's highs. Works great
