so it comes down to this. either the jcr, rci, or the up all in full height
pros are the jcr is the least expensive but has no tonneau cover clips that add the extra 2 or soinches in height at about 750 with a wait of 3-5 weeks

The rci is middle in cost but if i add the tonneau cover supports it is right at 1G and appears to be available now.

The up top is 1100 but seem like it has more offered as part of the package

What are your thoughts? Help me decide.. Thanks

RCI overland

I can tell you it is solid and fits without drilling and pretty easy to remove.

Of course I did paint the bolts black before installing :)

traveling today will send you detail pics with measurements in the next day or so
Is there any way you would be kind enough to snap a photo of the rack attaching to the bed? The only thing I've seen online is a drill version of the racks with the tonneau cover adapters.

Thank you for the help!

Also, The more I get closer to pulling the trigger on a rack, the more 411 I find that I don't like.
JCR (who I was going to use because I like the quality of their molle stuff) reads in the fine print: 500lb dynamic weight*, then "*Serious offroading with this much weight on rack is not recommended. Use your discretion when loading the rack and with vehicle speed when driving on jarring terrain. Vehicle instability or damage may occur"

I don't expect to use add more than a tent and maybe some tracks to the rack, so maybe 200lbs...

Are rack failures offroad an issue?

I e got the max-modular rack (18”+2.5”) and plan to carry SUPs with it using either the Thule or Yakima SUP carrier to help it clear the roof and secure the boards. I have the factory tonneau cover and I can peel it back to the front load arms. It’s a pain, but it works. I’ve offroaded it a fair amount with a RTT with no issues and it’s got a better load rating than the JCR rack. I recommend it.

the factory one does not fit

So need to find one that is not as wide as the bed rails by 1” or so on either side
