Hilux vs Gladiator

Switching from a Hilux (work truck) to Gladiator (personal) on Saturday. Both manual's, from diesel to gas. Should be interesting. I think I'll miss the diesel's torque, even though the hilux seems pretty gutless compared to most vehicles I've owned, it has done well getting me to some amazing off the map places, even in pretty base 4x4 form. So stoked for my new JTR though! Maybe just cuz' I can tow my Jeep with a Jeep to go Jeep'n...and maybe some other stuff... I'll try to keep you all posted on the the initial differences. Will always be partial to my flat fender though, unless we start talking about going over 40mph.

Basically the same thing they have several interchangeable parts. Maybe his wasnt as bad the ones I've driven. The gas drivetrain in midsize toyotas sucks ass

Wait....WHAT?

Exterior - Completely different, Hilux can be bought in a 2dr as well.
Interior - Completely different
Drive line - Hilux has 3 engine choices, Tacoma has 2. The Hilux diesel really separates it too.

The Hilux is designed for commercial use, while the Tacoma is more for all purpose. That and the Hilux isn't available in the US.

in 96 Tacoma was born and it was based in the hilux
Tacoma has a tough look is wider taller flares ,hilux looks more like a highlander but is one of the tough truck in the world will take you anywhere it’s considered a comercial truck suspension is really tough and will last forever Also the frontuner is a suv based on the hilux for international markets that will outlast any 4Runner
